Freddy's POV
sophomore year

When my sister asked my mom if I could babysit my three year old nephew, I was less than thrilled. Sure, I love the little guy, but I know nothing about kids. Plus all little kids hate me. I was not looking forward to it.

I needed help, and there's only one person who could help.

My ex-girlfriend Summer Hathaway.

Summer showed up at my sister's house not one minute late. She smiled and gave me a quick hug. I closed the front door behind her.

"Thanks for coming, I know we haven't been on the best terms lately."

"Hey, we're friends. I'll do anything for my friends." She smiled. "So, where is the little guy?"

Logan, my three year old nephew, came running down the hall and latched onto Summer's leg.

"Well hello!" She squealed and pried him off her leg and picked him up. "You must be Logan!"

"Who are you?" Logan asked Summer.

"I am Summer. I'm Uncle Freddy's friend."

I laughed at the fact that she just called me "Uncle Freddy." It was pretty funny to think of myself as an uncle. Logan wiggled himself out of Summer's arms and back onto the floor.

"C'mon Summer, let's go play blocks!" He said, grabbing Summer's wrist and dragging her towards his room, where the blocks were. She smiled and sat crossed legged on Logan's floor. I stood in the doorway and watched. She was so cute playing with Logan.

Summer and I flopped onto the couch. We had finally gotten Logan down for his nap.

"Man, that kid sure wears you out!" Summer aid.

"Yeah, it kinda makes me wonder what having kids will be like one day."

"Together?"

"I don't know..."

"Freddy, should we get back together?"

I was shocked at her bluntness about it, but I couldn't be more happy about it either.

"Yeah," I said. I turned and kissed her quickly. She smiled.

"So, my eyes and your nose?" she said. We both laughed and she rested her head on my shoulder.

"I can't wait."
