Chapter 21

Lee Ji Hyun's POV

"Okay, everything is set. You two are ready to go", Suho said after checked the last item on his to do list.

"Remember, think of this building. You are more powerful than me. You can go to any place you never been before. That's awesome. Oh and Kris, try not to throw up when you arrive. It's gonna be a long trip", Kai gave us one last instruction as he emphasized on 'long'.

I heard Kris gulping beside me. Teleporting has different effect on everyone except the teleporters themselves. Some people feel dizzy, nausea, and even, momentarily unconsciousness.

"Got it. I forgot my phone. I'll be right back", I said before I ran through the corridor to my room.

Once I found it, I turned back and found Luhan leaning by the door. He looks sad, worried, and there's a slight expression that I can't put my finger on.

"Are you sure about this?", he said as he move forward. That's when I notice those dark circles on his eyes. Seems like he didn't get much sleep these days.

"Of course. I need to find the book", I answered.

"Not the task. I mean, are you sure you want to go with Kris? I can go with you instead", he explained.

"To be honest, I think it is better for me to go alone. But, since Kris has volunteered and he already sacrificed his career... Look, I don't want you to go through the same path as he is. I don't want you or the others to sacrifice your career for me".

"But that's the whole point of our existence. To save you. Even if it means we have to sacrifice our career even our lives", Luhan said as he walked closer to me.

"Please don't say that. I don't want anyone to sacrifice anything for me", I sighed as tears starting to cover my vision. I don't want any of these. I don't want them to be this nice to me. It makes it even harder for me to betray them.

"It's just the way it is. Whether you like it or not", he said as the distance between us is getting smaller.

He brings his hand to my face and slowly wipe the tears that starting to roll down my face. I started to sob.

"Ssh...", he said as he holds my face in his hands and wipes my tears away.

"Ahem"

We broke apart hearing the voice. I wiped my eyes once more before I can see whose voice was it.

"They're looking for you", Xiumin awkwardly said by the door. Seems like he noticed what happened before he came.

"Right. I'll be right there", I said before he went back to the living room. "Goodbye", I said to Luhan. He held my hand as I walked past him.

"Please be careful", he looked so worried.

"I will. I promise", I held his hand on mine.

After say our goodbye to the others, I held Kris' hand as I pictured Prague in my head. I never been there before but the picture Kai showed me earlier gives me the idea about it. I pictured the landscape, the buildings, the bridge and the people. The next second, the only thing I noticed was the unusual sensation in the pit of my stomach. The next thing I noticed was the cold breeze against my face.

I opened my eyes and I realized that I'm not in South Korea anymore. In front of me, lies a small road made of bricks between two old buildings. I looked up and noticed that the sun still shine, even though it was midnight in Korea. I turned to Kris and realized how pale he was.

"Are you okay?"

"Umm...", he hesitated for a second. "..no"

He let go of my hand and walked to nearby wall. He leaned his body against it and closed his eyes. He put his hand on his stomach, clearly feel nauseous.

"Hey, take a seat for a moment", I said as I helped him to sit down on the ground and pat his back.

"Remind me again, why didn't we just fly over here?"

"Because it's too far and teleportation is more efficient?", I chuckled.

"Ouch", he said sarcastically. "I'm alright. I just need time to recover".

About an hour later, Kris was finally recovered. I hold his hand and helped him to stand up.

"I'm okay", he smiled lightly.

"So, ready to explore Prague?"

He nodded before he holds my hand in his. I doubted for a second before I hold his hand back and give him a smile. We walked down the alley and found a small street with stores on both side. There were quiet a lot of people around it. We walked past several vintage stores before we reached the main street which leads to the bridge. The Charles Bridge.

Once we reached the main street, Kris pulled my hand and we ran down the street. We kept running until we got ourselves in the middle of the bridge. We laughed as we tried to catch our breath. I looked up and noticed that the sun almost set. I looked around and tried to catch as many details as possible. I closed my eyes, wondering if this is just a dream. When I opened it again, I realized that I was far from home. I'm in Prague and this is the beginning of my journey.

Early easter gift for yo🐰So sorry I haven't been able to write this story these past 10 months. A lot of things happened. I graduated 🎓 (yay), traveled ✈️ (yay again), and moved to Sydney 📦 (also yay). I am also planning to write another story so, I will try to finish this one as soon as possible.
