Luke gave a soft groan as he slowly woke up. He blinked tiredly and whined softly. I sat with Luke while Ashton went home to sleep. The hospital had decided to keep both Luke and Michael for overnight observation.
I had bags under my eyes and my hair looked like a rat's nest, but I didn't care; Luke wasn't going to be alone during his brief stay. I blinked when Luke whined again, then I gently placed his ice pack against his throat.
"Ashie go home," he softly asked, voice raspy and groggy.
"He did, Lukey Bear," I softly hummed, "He'll be back in the morning though.".
Luke pouted softly and closed his eyes, silent tears falling down his cheeks. I gently took his hand and squeezed it, hoping he'd feel calmer.
When Luke squeezed my hand back I knew he was going to be okay and that this would be a long night for both of us; as friends whom are like siblings.
~Next Day~
Luke and Michael were home, lounging around and resting; that was the good news, but the bad news was that the rest of the tour had been cancelled. I knew Luke and Michael were bummed about it, but I also knew that they understood they needed to heal first.
"Baby," Luke says, voice raspy.
"I'm here," Ashie soothed.
"I wanna ask ya something," Luke says.
Ashton meekly nodded, then he gave his full attention to Luke. I could see the brokenheartedness in my brother's eyes, knowing Luke's pain was taking a toll on him; Calum being the same way with Michael.
I lean against a door frame, watching them. Luke sat up, giving Ashton room to sit next to him; what happened next surprised us all.
"Ashton Irwin, will you marry me," Luke asks.
Ashton's eyes tear up and he nods. The tears softly fell down his face as Luke placed the engagement ring on Ashton's finger. He hugged Luke, sniffling and sobbing.
Luke hums, calming Ashton down as I gave Luke a subtle thumbs up. I was proud of him for pushing through his pain to do the one thing he had put a lot of heart into.
~Time Skip~
I had tears in my eyes when the ceremony went on. Ash seemed as happy as he could be, while Luke seemed happier. When they kissed, the crowd went nuts.
Luke and Ashton pulled me to the side; excitement, fear and worry in their eyes.
"Lemme guess, you want me to have your child because I have Ashie's genes," I hummed as I played with a loose thread of my dress.
They nod, then Luke said, "Please?".
I arched a brow at my older brother, "You know I'm saving myself for someone special.".
Ashton gave a nod, "I know, but there's a way you can stay a virgin and be a mom.".
I give a soft sigh and say, "Alright.".
Would I be a good mother? Will everything be alright or miserably fail?
