"Ha, mum your almost as excited as me!" I giggled, stuttering for breath, I dont think i've ever laughed so much in my life!
Well, my names Liberty. I'm 16, 17 in 2 months! I was on my way to Britian with mum and Austin. I have medium/longish blonde hair and blue eyes. I guess I was kind of pretty? I'm not so sure anymore to be honest.
I looked at Austin to notice him gazing at his phone, I couldn't work out his facial expression. It was like a mixture of anger and shock? It couldn't of been me, I hadn't been on my phone in ages, I think it's been a month. I'm not the 'typical teenager' I guess you could say i'm abnormal? I'm kind of anti social. A social reject in other words... Oh well, I liked it that way, cause that way there wasn't much drama.
I guess the only type of drama that's been going on lately was dads death? Well, it all happened last month. I know, not that long ago right?wrong. It actually felt like ages ago! I couldn't ever put it behind me, I don't know why. He got cancer, the doctors thought it cleared, so they didn't treat him. He wasn't himself though, sometimes he'd just zone out... Anyway, he was so brave that he decided to go to the Afganistan war, mum hated the idea of it, she knew something was wrong with dad, she just knew it! Anyway, a few weeks later he left, he didn't even say good bye to us, he just left? Three weeks after sleepless nights and constant tears we got a call, a man with a deep voice explained that dad was dead 'He wasn't shot though... he had cancer that was never treated, sorry for your loss' Nothing was the same since, nothing.
I was disturbed by a waitress speaking into a mic announcing that we had 1 hour until we were in birmingham, omg! I pulled out my phone, as mum untangled my earphones for me. I looked up and grinned politely.
"Thanks."
"That's ok, you want to listen to music yeah?"
"I um... yeah" I smiled.
"Here" She passed the the headphones and i placed them in my ears, shuffling in my seat until I was comftorble. I scrolled through my songs as I came across Justin Bieber- Boyfriend. I shoved it on, as I felt my eyelids getting heavier. Soon, I dirfted off too sleep.
I was awaken by mum shaking my arm and mummering my name.
"Liberty? Lib? Libby wake up were there!"
I opened my eyes, no way were we finally there! I jumped out of my seat banging my head on the roof
"Shit!" I bellowed.
I looked down to find everyone staring at me. I smiled slowly grabbing my bags and tapping my mum.
"Can we get off now?" I whispered.
"Yes" Mum giggled as she took her bags
Finally we were out of the plane and in Birmingham. The cold breeze was brushing against my face as mum pulled me to a taxi.
We got in and mum was smiling her head off.
"So er, where exactly are we going to stay? It's unlikely you got a house already. No offence, I mean, erm...?"-me
"Oh we'll be staying at my friend Sarahs, just til we find a suitable sized house." She said, sorting through her bag in a rush. She pulled out a 5 pound note and handed it to the taxi man.
"Thankyou." He replied bluntly, not even a slight smile.
We pulled up out side of a house. It was only me and mum cause Austin moved into a flat with his girlfriend, I knew that, that would mean I'd rarely see him, but I didn't really mind. We weren't exactly the closest.
Mum jumped out and I followed her. We walked towards the bright white door but as soon as we reached it, a young pretty women hopped out, with a little 3-4 year old at her feet.
"You must be Liberty, lovely to meet you! My names Sarah Simpson" She said in a ecstatic voice.
"I um... hi"
I know, so far so good... I think?SOWWY IT SO SHORT, I'll try to make it longer next time,yesh?good c;
