Buzz... Static... Buzz... Static.
Help me.... Please, send help. I'm stranded. Is anyone there? Please....
I breathed heavily and fumbled with the camera, tears streaming down my muddy face as I began to panic. Fear shot all over my body, hearing the sound of twigs snapping behind me as I froze. The camera I had set up flickered and buzzed with static, the night vision setting catching a figure standing directly behind me. Inhale. Exhale. Inhale. Exhale.... Then everything went still.
Come... With... Me...
I sat back against a tree, crying silently and praying for some need of help. A cold hand touched the back of my head, the tears falling continuously as I began to beg for mercy. I jumped up and began to run, only to fall as someone grabbed my ankle; soon twisting it violently. A strangled yell escaped my throat, using my elbows to try and crawl away; whimpering softly. My face showed in the camera and I sobbed, reaching a hand out to try and grab it; screaming as I was dragged across the ground. An invisible force threw me against the tree, bones cracking upon the violent impact; my limp body being hoisted up again. The camera caught it all, seeming to turn left and right in order to capture everything. At being thrown even higher, I shrieked and flailed my arms to try and stop myself from hitting the trees around me. The last throw... And everything went silent, the camera taking the time to adjust and zoom in on the newest picture. A body impaled on a tree branch, eyes wide with fear as the last breath escaped its quivering lips. Crickets and bugs went silent as a little skipped up to the screen, head tilting to look up at the dangling body. She giggled and turned to the camera, crawling towards it with a loud hiss; breaking it in an instant...
La... La... La...
Her voice rang out through the darkness, coyotes howling and crying out just beneath the body that dangled just above their heads. The police arrived soon after to investigate, many surprised to the see body now bare to the bone as if someone shaved the skin and flesh off; leaving bloody bones... They heard the laughter and turned back, the dogs near them turning rabid and attacking them. Growls and snarls filled the air, white teeth snapping and biting into the screaming men beneath them. Their wanting came too late, the radio in the car finally wiring through.
Johnson.. Smith, come in over... Don't go into the woods, I repeat, do not go into the woods-
The radio buzzed off and hummed with static, the entire forest going silent as the screams in the distance faded away..
