Neptune's POV
It is the first day of school.
Rylie and I haven't been talking. She was always with Calum, Ashton, Luke, and Michael. She seems happy. I'm happy for her. I've been a bit better, I suppose. Okay, that's a lie. I've been shit.
I decided on wearing all black because it was the easiest way to match, and express my feelings.
*at school*
"Neptune, I'm just saying... Maybe you should apologize to her. She is your best friend." Luke insisted as I slammed my locker shut.
"Was my best friend, and she needs to apologize to me first. Then, I'll apologize to her."
"Be the bigger person, babe."
We weren't dating, just to be clear. Sure, I've been spending a lot of time with Luke, but he never asked me to be his girlfriend, and I never asked him to be my boyfriend. I wanted to call him mine, but he'd leave soon enough anyway. If he 'assumes' that we're dating, he's sadly mistaken.
"I have to go to class." I said as I walked away from the blonde boy.
I had English first. Mr. Ryans. This guy was was everyone's favorite from what I've heard. He had yoga balls in his room that you were allowed to sit on. He wasn't attractive whatsoever, though.
"Good morning," He exclaimed, putting his hand out to shake mine. I didn't shake it, and looked back at him. He moved his hand and said, "I'm Mr. Ryans."
"Yeah, I got that." I said, rolling my eyes.
"And you are?"
"Already tired of you." I said sarcastically, and walked into the room.

As I walked into the hallway after English, I saw Rylie. She obviously saw me too by the way she stopped. I realized how much I missed her.
How we laughed at stupid shit; how we danced to Green Day; how we talked nonstop about the boys who were always next door.
"I'm sorry." We both said in unison.
"Oh my god, I'm so stupid, and selfish. I'm so so sorry." I said. Rylie shook her head, and looked at me, tears in her eyes, "This is my fault. I shouldn't have-"
I cut her off, "Don't. You didn't do it. I did, and I'm sorry. Can we be friends again?"
"Yes," Rylie smiled, "So, how are things with Luke?" She asked.
"Good, I suppose. How are things with Calum, Michael?" We walked down the hallway.
"Well, um... Michael is out of the picture now. But, I'm still friends with him." She said nervously.
"Oh my god! Ralum is real!" I yelled, an laughed.
We saw the four boys talking, and we walked over to them, "Friends again?" Ashton asked. We both smiled, and nodded. They all smiled back, and Luke wrapped his arm around me, "Can I talk to you?" He whispered in my ear. I nodded.
