Guardian Shifter

Chapter 8

Parker-

I carried Emi up the stairs to our little apartment in the back house. Opening the door I walked to the bed and slid Emi in the bed. After I covered her, she woke up.

"hey baby" her voice was all husky from sleep.

"sorry did I wake you?" she shook her head, sliding out of bed she put a pair of underwear on. Then went to the bathroom and washed her face. By then I had got into bed with just a pair of boxers on. pulling the covers over us, Emi curled up into my side. I adjusted us so I was holding her. And with that we pass out.

I woke up, to find Emi not next to me. Before I freak out, I notice the smell of bacon in the air. I headed out of the room and to the kitchen we have on our level. There I find the Emi making breakfast. It was the middle of June so she only had my tshirt on. Nicki Minaj was playing with some other singer, it was obvious the title was no broken hearts cause that's all she was saying. But I didn't care because Emi was dancing and singing along. She was breaking an eggs at the same time.

"NO BROKEN HEARTS IN THE CLUB NO TEARS IN THE CLUB, CAUSE WE GOIN GETTING POPPIN TONIGHT" I couldn't help my self. I pulled my phone out and started to record it on snapchat. The whole freaking song she didn't notice me, at all! After it ended I couldn't hold my laughter in anymore. I started dying on the ground. She looked like a deer caught in headlights. She went from shocked to angry.

"PARKER BLAKK!!! IM GOING TO KILL YOU" she ran over to me and started punching me. Not hard but like playful punches obviously. She then dog piled me. We sat there laughing our heads off. Until she got off me and went back to the kitchen stove. I went over to the cabinets and grabbed plates. Setting the table I grabbed the oj and milk from the fridge. She set the food down on the table and we sat down. We sat in a comfortable silence, eating. Emi made me so much more food than she made herself.

"can we go to the city today? I need to grab the little things I have in my bare apartment, back in the city." I nodded my head shoving food in my face.

After breakfast we went back into our room, once we finished getting ready. We headed out the door.

"So um I don't know if the press have chilled out or what, but just don't go all Wolfie on me babe" she laughed

"ok, ok but if you're hurt even the slightest or even uncomfortable were leaving. You know I'm not much of a city boy"

"well cowboy I understand but if you want me to move in with you I have to get my stuff, which it wont be hard because I don't have anything. Although I need to also go to the national park because some of my stuffs there too when I got caught by those ranglers"

"ok, well one step at a time"

"well I'm gonna need to go to the park first cause my backpack is there with my apartment keys there."

"thanks for the help" in response all I did was smile and kiss her cheek.

Once we reached the city as soon as she got noticed by a bunch of press cockroaches they were all over the truck. We pulled up to the park, emi got out.

"just stay here ill get it, its only 2 miles. If I run it will be ok" I didn't like that idea

"Emi..."

"ill be fine babe"

I was sitting in the truck for less than 15 mins and she came running up to the car in panic

"start the car" and of course a bunch of people with cameras came running to the truck. Driving off we left them in the dust.

"Turn left here and its on the right" nodding me head. I pulled into her drive way, we got out of the car. Walking up to the door it was slightly a jar, the lock looked like it was being played with.

"stay behind me" she grabbed the back of my shirt, and we carried on through the house.

"it smells different in here" I knew what she was talking about,

"its a rogues sent"

"why do you think they were in my house?" I looked at her like she was stupid.

"What?"

"seriously, Emi, you're the guardian shifter. Of course their going to come after you!" she glared at me.

"but I thought only we knew and your pack?"

"well I don't then, but still stay close" we picked up the two boxes that she had, we left.

I dumped the boxes in the truck as she locked the door. and with that we left the city, I doubt I'm ever going to come to the city again! That was too much work. Emi laughed next to me,

"you don't have to come back to the city ever again, haha"

"those reporters were too much for me, in fact the entire city is too much for me." emi rolled her eyes.

"you're to much work for me" she couldn't stop laughing at me.

"ha-ha very funny, country hick doesn't like the city" her laugh was contagious, I couldn't help myself.

We were so caught up in laughing, we didn't know we made it home. Smiling I leaned over to her.

"you're amazing." I said as I kissed her forehead.

Sorry for the late update! Started school again. All the freshmen here are pissing me off! And I don't really have any time to update but I found some. Next update will come soon I promise!
