"Sowon, this is Seokjin. Say hello."

I could not say anything to you back then. While I hid behind my mother, quick and unsure glances were all I could give you. You were the newest boy around our small neighborhood I had heard. A boy belonged to a family who bought the house next to ours.

But I did not care about that. I was six and was painfully shy around strangers. So when my mother brought me to greet your family, I did not know what to do.

Unlike me, you stood beside your mother, holding her hand. You stared at me, waiting.

I still did nothing. I could not do anything.

Then you warmly smiled and waved.

"Hi, Sowon."

Before I knew it, I stopped hiding.
