"3 seconds on the clock remaining, stone's holding the ball." An announcer #1

Jaycee is holding the ball outside the three point shot line. Their 3 points away to victory with 94-96 in favor of the opponent.

"Grey guarding Stone.. Trying to shoot." Announcer #2

"And Stone shoots the ball ball 1.12 secs remaining" announcer #1

"and team Manatees wins" announcer #2 "thanks to #17 the last second three point score of Jaycee Stone."

The team Manatees coach approach the team and Jaycee to congratulate "good game Stone, keep it up."

"Thanks coach" Jaycee flash a victory smile. He is a very charming guy, that all the girls swoon over him. A blonde cheerleader approach him all cheery, and glee.

"Hi, J!"^-^

"Ummhh, hi!" Jaycee can't seem to remember her name but he remembers her face.

"It's me, Naomi" Naomi is one of J's fan. She likes him because his cute and good at basketball. J is used too girls throwing themselves at him. Being the nice thing he thought to do, he dated most of them. Jaycee was a sixth grader when he became popular because of basketball. Since then and now that he is 16 years old, he had already about 8-10 girlfriend. None of them he had taken seriously.

"Yeah, Naomi.. 'Sup?"

"Nice game btw, you're so good, Manatees FTW" Naomi says enthusiastically. While raising her pom-poms.

"Thank you" J was about to go when Naomi speaks. "Do you want to hang out in my house?" She was playing with the tail of her ponytail hair on one hand and put her other hand on Jays shoulder. "I need a company,"

Jay hold Naomi's hand on his shoulder and put it away from him. " I love to but I can't." Jay said politely as Naomi pouts. "Well okay, let just do it next time" she said smiling as her expression changed in just a snap. She winks at him before Jaycee walks away.

Jaycee walks towards Ross with a grin on his face. "Oh bro, did you just turned down Naomi?" Ross teased J.

"Is that obvious?" Jay asked curiously.

"Did you see the look on her face? Man I thought you're going to make a girl cry." Ross said as he puts his arm on Jaycee's shoulder.

"You know I don't like to see girls crying especially over me." Jaycee said.

"Oh but you have made girls cry before. You're Jaycee Stone" Ross shook J's shoulder.

"That was the old me, I won't do that again." J said.

"Man, being a sacristan really changed you, I think I don't know my bestfriend anymore." Ross took his arm away from J's shoulder.

"I'm still me, just better." Jaycee said with a smirked.

"But seriously, why did you turn down Naomi's offer? Do you have girlfriend now that I don't know of?" Ross asked curiously.

"No, I'm just.. Trying to changed for the better." But the truth was ever since he saw K he can't get her out of his mind. He has not told Ross about K unless he gets to know her better. But the problem is, he does not know how, because K is always in a hurry to get out of the church after the mass.

Jaycee went to serve at the church after his game. He scan the people inside the church. He knows that K may had already went to the church this morning but he had a tiny hope she might be here. Even though he knows she won't be there, he was still disappointed not to see her. After not seeing her, Jaycee just focused on the mass.

Jaycee just got home, and when he got to the kitchen he saw Mason preparing dinner.

"Mason, how was the mass this morning?" Jaycee asked.

"If you're asking for the girl, I didn't see her."

"She's not there? Why?" Jaycee puts his hand on Mason's shoulder.

"No, I didn't look for her, I don't care about her." Mason shook offs Jaycee's hand.

"Psh" Jaycee turn around to go to his room when Mason reminded him of something.

"Hello! Earth to Kendra," Maddison snap her fingers to wake Kendra on her daydream.

"Ummh, sorry, where we're we?" Kendra shook her head and started focusing on her laptop.

"On earth?" Maddison said sarcastically. "what has got in to you?"

"Nothing.. What was the next step again?" Kendra tries to change the topic.

K was still thinking as to where J might have been this morning that he wasn't at the church. Maddison was her first friend that she met in Portland and in high school.
