Scarlett sat down in a bakery in Embersville, Firlands. Everyone looked at her with looks that could kill. She was always alone. She made their weapons and jewelry, which she always mentioned around them, and mentioned that it would be horrid if their blacksmith left town forever.
A boy--Jack--pulled up a chair. "Is it okay if I sit here?"
The two became good friends, and when Jack had to go back to Wintrlandia, his home, Scarlett went with him. She got an apartment near his castle, and sometimes he visited her at night.
This became apparent to his sister, Jackie, when she entered his room and he wasn't there. The next night, she followed him to Scarlett's apartment.
"What about your sister?"
"Jackie doesn't need to know."
"Jackie doesn't need to know."
"Jackie doesn't need to know what?" Jackie interrupted.
"This isn't what it looks like."
"Oh really? Because it looks like you're about to kiss someone I don't know."
"Then it's...exactly what it looks like."
Jackie didn't know what to do, what to say. She felt so betrayed. She just sat in the alley and cried.
"Hey," A voice called. Jackie's head shot up. She must have fallen asleep. "Who are you?"
"That's top secret,"
"Well, I'm not telling you my name either."
"Okay then. What's wrong?"
Jackie told him everything. When she finished, she felt much better.
Then her cousin Winter became head of the Midnight Star, she went undercover at a gala, and she met Peter, who danced with her then later joined the Midnight Star. One of the things she liked most about him was his familiar blue eyes...
It was almost like deja vu...
