“I CAN’T DO IT ANYMORE, I JUST CAN’T. Fighting it is making it harder!”
Sophie, the girl who was staring up at him her eyes baring deep into his watched on intently, “Just let it go, it hurts me to see you in pain.”
Her voice had a detached quality about it, his mouth grimaced in disgust, “Sophie please”, He begged “Please just let me leave.”
Her emerald eyes turned darker his words lashing against her heart, “But I love you, I can’t just look past that!”
His voice tightened as hunger ripped through his stomach, “Please”, He dropped to his knees, “I don’t want to hurt you.”
Sophie pushed her midnight-black hair off her face, a gesture he had come to realise as frustration. Looking deep into her shimmering olive eyes he fought desperately against the urge threatening to take over. He would not take another life, not today, not ever.
“Please” He tried desperately employing all of the churning emotions swarming in his chest.
Sophie sighed in frustration, “No.”
That was it. Every sense of what little humanity he was gripping onto slipped away. Silent, desperate tears slid down his reddened cheeks. He cupped her hands around her small face and shoved her head against the chest of drawers standing nearby. At least she wouldn’t feel a thing. Pools of blood smeared on his hands as he rubbed her cheeks rhythmically.
“I am so, so Sorry Sophie”, with these words he leant down and sucked the life from her body.
