Accepting the Fact...

This one shot was requested by @124057kog and is sorta sad. They requested a VERY specific one shot and it is Zomika.... I hope you like it!

Zack's POV
ninth grade

Freddy and I were at my house, playing video games. 

"Hey, can I tell you something?" I asked.

Freddy paused the game, "Sure, what's up bro."

"Will you promise not to tell anyone."

"Swear." 

I took a deep breath, "Ok, I like Tomika." 

Freddy laughed, "Dude, I already knew that." 

"How?"

"It's pretty obvious..." 

I shrugged and unpaused the game. Freddy and I were back in the game zone. 

"You should ask her out." He said nonchalantly.

I paused the game again. "WHAT!"

"You should ask her out." 

"I can't do that!"

"Sure you can."

Freddy unpaused the game and began playing again, but I didn't. Maybe I should ask her out...

The next day I walked up to Tomika.

"Hey Tomika," I said nervously.

"Hey Zack."

"Do you want to go on a date tomorrow night?" 

There was a long silence.

"Um, sure." she smiled. 

"Great! I'll be at your house at 6."

"I'll see you then."

I finally asked her out. It felt good, now I just need to survive the date...

I picked Tomika up right on time. We went to a restaurant and had nice conversation. I felt It was going really well, I hope she feels the same.

Tomika's POV

This is date is going terribly! I never realized how boring Zack was... well, not boring, but that boy knows how to drone on about little things. I hope he is also realizing how bad this is.... 

wait 

This date isn't going horribly. It's just that I don't like Zack like that. I think it is, but maybe if I did like him I would feel it was going good. I felt bad that I didn't return his feelings for me, but what could I do? 

I was happy the date was over. I couldn't stand another second in that hot restaurant with him. When he dropped me off, I waved and ran inside. I needed to tell him that I didn't like him, and soon. But first I needed to talk to Summer.

Zack's POV

I was excited to see Tomika the next day at school. I saw her talking to Summer, and walked over to them. As I got closer, i heard my name being mentioned. I quickly made myself unnoticable to them. 

"I just feel so bad. I just wish I could like him." Tomika said.

"You can't find something good about him?"

"I can, but I just don't lie him. I just had no fun last night. One of the worst nights of my life." 

Did she really feel like that? Of course she did. I ran out of the school, unable to listen any longer.

I stopped talking- to everyone. I couldn't get over her. I even switched classes. None if it helped.

I guess  just need to accept the fact that she didn't like me....and never would.
