Chapter 34

Taehyung just got off the phone with his auntie and thankfully, she was more than willing to let his mom live with them. We were excited but sad to see her go, especially Taeguk.

"Is halmeoni going somewhere really far from here?" she pouted.

"It is far, you won't be able to see her as often. But you can still video chat." I replied.

We were on our way to the airport to send her off to America. Taeguk was sad and a little disappointed, I could tell. She was going to miss her grandma. The grandma that spent time with her and played with her. But to Taehyung and I, she was the mom that nagged and complained about us. We didn't want her to affect our relationship. Our relationship is strong enough to block out anything bad that she had to say to us.

"Halmeoni, come visit me." Taeguk cried.

"Don't cry Taeguk. I'll call you every night okay?" she said.

"Eomeonim." I bowed. She just looked at me and nodded. She walked up to her son and gave him a loose hug. I could tell that she was not happy at all. She rolled her luggage inside and soon disappeared from our sight. Taehyung and I let out a breath and smiled. She was out of the way now.

"I have an appointment at the hospital to check on the baby." I told Taehyung.

"Okay. Taeguk! Let's go see your little brother!" he smiled.

"Yay!" she smiled, clapping her hands.

"Yah Kim Taehyung, you don't even know if it's a boy yet. It's too early to know." I said, nudging his arm.

"I know it's a boy, I can sense it." he smiled.

I gave him a confused look and he giggled and started driving. We arrived at the hospital thirty minutes later and I checked in. We sat on the chairs and waited for the doctor to call my name. Taeguk was playing on my phone, Taehyung was watching choreography for a new song and I was flipping through a magazine.

I stopped at a page talking about the trendiest CEO's sons. I browsed through them and recognized the names of some of my old classmates. I can't believe that they're all mature now and taking on a business. Suddenly my eyes landed on: Kim Taehyung. On the inside I squealed a little bit but I kept my cool on the outside. Come on, I'm about to have my second child, I gotta be more mature than that.

Kim Taehyung

New trendsetter in Seoul! He styles fashionably at work with many pictures of his family on his desk and a few pictures with his friends. Kim Taehyung never stopped talking about his cute daughter and loving wife when I interviewed him. When I asked questions about his work, he'd always relate it back to his family. He would always say: "Everyone has their own hobbies and weaknesses but you always have to remember that your family comes before those things. Nothing can buy the time that you have with your family and the love that you share with each other." This man is a proud father and husband. Look at the picture of him and his family here!

I looked at the picture next to the blurb and it was the picture that we took as a family on the day I told our family about our second baby. We were all smiling and happy. I looked up at Taehyung and smiled, I have such a loving husband, I couldn't ask for a better one.

"Kim Hyejin?" the nurse said.

I stood up and helped Taeguk off the chair. I slipped my phone into my bag and walked inside.

"Is this your checkup date?" the nurse asked.

"Ne." I replied.

"Change into these clothes and lie on top of the bed. The doctor will be here in a few minutes." she said.

I nodded and got changed and did as she told me to. I lied on top of the bed and saw the ultrasound machine. I was so excited yet nervous. This was my first checkup date and I was so happy that Tae was able to come. Even Taeguk came too. I smiled and grabbed Taehyung's hand.

"I'm nervous." I said.

"Don't be. I'm here." he smiled.

I nodded and looked around the room. The doctor knocked on the door and walked in.

"Hyejin-sshi, it's so nice to see you again!" the doctor smiled.

"Ah, ne." I smiled back.

"Is this your husband? And your lovely daughter?" she smiled.

"Yes. This is Kim Taehyung and my daughter, Taeguk." I introduced.

"Very nice to meet you." the doctor said, shaking his hand and waving at Taeguk.

She started the ultrasound and found the baby's head.

"That's the head of the baby." she pointed out on the screen.

Taehyung stood up and leaned closer to the screen. He reached for the screen and his fingers touched it.

"Whoa." he whispered.

I laughed and the doctor did too. Taeguk was sitting next to me on the bed so she saw the baby too.

"Is it a boy?" she asked.

"It's still to early to tell but I'll let you know when I find out." the doctor smiled at Taeguk.

After the appointment, the nurse handed me a picture of the baby's head and a picture of the full body. I smiled and hugged Taehyung. I took a picture of it and posted it on the group chat. Everyone was so happy and they were complimenting how cute it was.

"Come on Jimin, you can't even see its face. How can it be cute?" Namjoon typed.

"It's just really cute! Right Jungkook?" Jimin replied.

There was no reply just the blue check mark that indicated everyone read it. I laughed and we walked to the car.

"There's going to be a new family member. How do you feel?" I asked Taehyung.

"I'm excited. I get to see it come out and hold it first." he smiled.

I nodded and smiled. He was trying his best, I could tell.
