Chapter 4

Emily's P.O.V

"So, tell me what happened while you thought I was 'dead'?" Marcel asked me. I took a swig of my bourbon and laughed.

"Well, and this might be long story." He nodded "Elijah was forced to compel me to forget all about them in the 90s. I moved to Mystic Falls a few years later and lived with the Salvatore brother, who I consider to be brothers. After, I think two years, I went to New York and met Elijah again. We had a great time then he compelled me to forget. But two weeks before that I went to my 'uncle bobby's' and stay with him for a week. I met Dean and Sam Winchester and dated Dean for a while till he broke my heart. I asked Damon to compel those memories away cause it hurt to much. After all that I got kidnapped by someone trying to bring Elena and me to Elijah, more so Klaus." Marcel stopped me to ask a question.

"Elena, the doppelganger right?" He asked and I nodded.

"Yup, I saw him and slightly remembered him than Damon and Stefan came. Elijah got a stake through his heart. We dated then Dean came back for me. Me and Elijah became friends I remembered Dean and Sam again. Dean and Sam left then Elijah compelled me to remember. We dated, Bobby died, Dean blamed me so I broke up with him. Got pregnant with Aria, Elijah proposed, Elena turned on me. So, Damon and Stefan abandoned her. Klaus kissed me-" Marcel cut me off.

"Wait, Klaus kissed you?" I nodded "I knew it!" Marcel exclaimed and I rolled my eyes then continued with my story.

"Had Aria, got married and moved to New York City where for some weird reason my friend Caroline moved in right next door." Marcel laughed at that last one. "Then I came here because I hadn't seen Nik in four years and I got worried." I said and Marcel looked astounded.

"Wow, you've been busy." Marcel said and I laughed as he filled up my glass.

"Understatement of the century." I said. We talked for another hour or so until I had to leave.

"Well, it was nice catching up with you." Marcel said and I hugged him.

"Same here, I have to go check on Aria. Bye Marcel." I said and he smiled.

"Bye Emily. Josh take her home please." Marcel said and I saw Josh walked out from the corner. I waved at Marcel and left with Josh.

Josh dropped me off and I waved to him as he drove off. I heard yelling from inside the compound. I walked in when I heard Klaus's voice along with Hayley's.

"You're still in love with her, I can see it!" Hayley yelled at him.

"I'm not, she married to my brother not to mention she's his soulmate!" Klaus yelled back.

"Those are just reasons on why you two can't be together." Hayley said and I watch as they yelled some more. I heard crying and looked behind them to see Hope watching the whole thing. I usually let Klaus go on but with his daughter watching...nope, intervene now.

"Stop!" They looked at me. I pushed my way between them and walked up to Hope. "Come here." I said and bent down to her level hugging her as I picked her up. I heard someone walk up behind me.

"What happened?" I heard Elijah say and I saw Aria standing behind him. "Hope why are you crying?" Elijah asked and I rubbed her back while she sat on my hip.

"Mommy and daddy are fighting and I want it to stop." Hope said while crying. I saw Aria come and pat Hope's back. Elijah looked at his brother and Hayley.

"Don't." Elijah looked at me. Hope dropped her bunny and I pointed it out to Aria. She picked it up and I held her hand. "I'm going to take them to bed." I said and walked upstairs with them.

They were sharing a room so I didn't have to walk around the house and leave the other one alone. They both got in bed and I kissed the top of both of their heads. I also handed Hope her bunny back.

"Goodnight my lovelies." I said and they looked up at me.

"Why were Klaus and Hayley fighting mama?" Aria asked me and I looked at her. I sighed and tried to ignore the fact Hayley was yelling at Klaus because she was jealous of me.

"Sometimes people dis-disagree on things and when they do they get angry...and yell." I looked at Hope and took her hand. "Hope," She looked at me. "Mommy won't stay mad at daddy forever ok?" I said and she looked at me.

"You promise?" She asked and I smiled.

"I promise" That she will never see them yell like that once I'm through with them. Hope smiled and Aria jumped up with an idea in mind.

"Can daddy read to us?" Aria asked and I laughed.

"I'll go ask." I said and I kissed both their heads again before leaving the room. I walked downstairs to see Hayley staring at Klaus and Elijah making sure they didn't kill each other. "Elijah" He looked up at me, they all did. "Two little girls want you to read to them upstairs." I said walking down to him.

"Well, I better go do that then." Elijah said and I gave him a kiss. He pulled away and then walked upstairs to the girls. I turned to Klaus and Hayley.

"Hayley" She looked at me with disgust. "I love Elijah, not Klaus...I mean I do, but as a brother and my best friend." I said to her and I could tell she was searching my eyes for the truth. She sighed and looked over at Klaus.

"I'm sorry I yelled." Hayley said to Klaus and he pulled her into a kiss.

"I forgive you." Klaus said when they broke away.

"Good now that you made up" They looked at me. "I promised a very special little girl that her parents would never yell like that again. But knowing Klaus and his anger..." Klaus rolled his eyes and I chuckled. "I ask don't yell like that in front of her again. She scared and doesn't know what's about to happen." I said and they nodded.

"I promise that will never happen again." Klaus said and I smiled.

"Good, now if you excuse me I would like to take a very long nap." I said and walked upstairs.

"Goodnight Emily." Klaus said and I turned to him then smiled.

"Goodnight Klaus, Hayley" I said and went straight to bed.

Klaus's P.O.V

I looked at my wife and kissed her. I so happy Emily cleared up that whole mess. I smiled at her, "I love you" I said and she kissed me again.

"I love you too." She said and I kept my arm wrapped around her as we walked upstairs to bed. I got to bed and wrapped one arm around Hayley's waist as she laid her head on my chest.

"Goodnight my queen." I said and she smiled.

"Goodnight my king." She said and closed her eyes. I stared up at the ceiling thinking about the fight I had with Hayley.

I mean she wasn't wrong everything I said were just reasons. Yet again, Emily never told me she hated the kiss. All she did was ignore me for three weeks. Is it possible I could be falling for her again. No, I can't be...I have my daughter and the women I love in my arms.

But I can't stop thinking about it. What if..
