"Please, don't..." Kristi exclaimed. They came closer and laid their hand on her shoulder.

"You'll never know what it's like to feel safe, again, Kristi!" They said. Their mask was like a shadow that hung over her life, and their voice was the thing that would keep you up at night. They put their hand on the mask and began to lift it...

"Good morning, sweetie!" Kristi's mom said with a smile as Kristi walked down the stairs. Kristi ran over to the toaster and grabbed the toast out of it.

"Morning, mom. I'm going to be late for school, I got to go." Kristi said and gave her mom a kiss on the forehead. "Bye, Mom." She said, as she went out the door she took a bite of her toast.

"Bye, sweetie..." Her mother said as the door slammed behind Kristi.

As Kristi pulled into the school, there were cop cars all around the front. "What the hell..." Kristi said, confused. She assumed it wasn't much, until her friend, Casey, ran up to her in a panic.

"Kristi, oh my god, you need to come, now." Casey said, worried.

"Wha... What happened, Casey?"

"I'm not sure, but I heard there is blood and a knife and just follow me!" Casey grabbed Kristi's arm. They walked over to where the police men were standing. "Oh... my god." Casey said as her jaw dropped.

"NOO!!" Kristi screamed as tears rolled down her cheek. She ran past the police men to the person that laid on the floor dead. They were about to put the body in a bag, but Kristi pushed the policemen out of the way. "Dad... No, wh-who did this?!"

"Ma'am we're gonna have to ask you to move away from the body." A policeman said, standing next to her.

"No, please... Tell me this isn't happening. WHO DID THIS?! Please... please... please..." Kristi had tears rolling down her cheeks. She stared down at her dad as the policemen pulled her away from the body. Casey looked at the body horrified. "dad."

"Victim: Jonathan Walker. Suspects: none. Family: Annabelle Walker and Kristi Walker, all other family members are deceased. Witnesses: n/a. Murder weapon: a Chef's knife." The policeman said. Kristi and her mother, Annabelle, sat next to each other, hugging and crying.

"Who would do this to Dad?" Kristi said, quietly. Her face was red and her eyes flowed with tears.

"I don't know, sweetie."

"An-n-nd... Why, why would anyone hurt him? He was innocent. He never hurt anyone. Everyone loved him." Kristi said as she sniffled. Casey ran over to Kristi. "Casey?"

"Oh my god, Kris, are you okay? They just let me in. I'm so sorry." Casey said.

"Casey," Kristi said, the crying stopped and she got up.

"Kris?" Kristi grabbed Casey and hugged her tight.

"Thank you," Kristi said, crying on Casey's shoulder. Casey wrapped her arms around her, too.
