The red light flashed and the roar of the engines filled the ears of the 9 marines. One was standing up towards a hatch. It was dark and barely lit. Only the red light and the light from the screens of the tank crew. The floor rolled slightly, back and forth. Like a ship in a ocean, floating about. The whine of the engine was at idle at the moment. That's when the Staff Sergeant roared at his marines. "Marines!" They all stopped what they were doing and sat up straight, all calling out at once.

"Yes sir!" He moved forward and stopped mid way. Looking each one over, he could see the terror in their eyes. He lowered his radio volume as it came to life. As he spoke the whole cab lurched forward and the whine increased, The bopping also increased.

"What are we!" He yelled out and at first they didn't know how to respond. Then one yelled.

"We are the spear-tip sir!" The staff Sergeant yelled his brains out to that.

"Damn right! We are the best of the best! WE  are the spear-tip! We are the first in and last out! We make way for the heavy armour, the fly boys, and most of all the Rangers!" He laughed out and then started to get pumped. "Remember! Should the shaft of the spear break, it doesn't matter! For we are the tip! We will be lodged into them and we ant going NOWHERE!" He screamed the last word as the marines started to get pumped. "Should the shaft break we will still win the day! Ooh-rah?!" The others all sounded off the last part and then they started checking their gear. The Sergeant moved up into the turret of the cab and looked at the gunner and loader. "I need to take a peck." They nodded as they were loading the bushmaster M242 chain-gun. Opening the top hatch the sound that now filled his hearing. Gunfire and explosions were happening all over. He looked about to see that LAV-25A1's flanked him on each side, their engines roaring like a monster seeking pray.  Two F/A-18's screamed past overhead and he barely made out the dropping of their payload. He watched it fall then when his gaze came to a bunker lighting up the closest LAV's, it was consumed by flame. Chucks of concert flying up and blasting outward.

"Amen." He breathed and heard over the radio.

"This is second squad! Theres a pillbox with a AT weapon of some Kind! We just lost a lander-" A LAV far off to the left towards the beach was covered in fire for a second, then the maginze inside exploded. Causing the shells to cook off. Blasting the lightly armoured vehicle into pieces.

"Damnit!" He roared and grabbed his radio. "Mayday! Mayday! Enemy AT weapons are taking out landers! I need payload drops at sector alpha 4-8-6-1... Grid November 9-4-5-2!" He watched as another cannon shot outwards. This time a LAV crew had started to turn and the shell hit the water feet off to their right.

"That was close!" The driver yelled over the radio but was soon drowned out.

"This is overlord fact. Warrior you have a group of A-10's call sign stalker waiting on your go."

"Roger last; stalker, I need that payload as fast as possible!" He looked over his shoulder to see two dots moving in.

"Already on it warrior, this is stalker, weapons free." The 30mm cannon fire filled the air as the first A-10 streaked by. It's cannon fire exposing the pillbox as trees were cut down.

"Stalker 2, target is visible hit them hard." The sergeant roared over the sound of the LAV's cannons starting to open up.

"This is stalker 2, UGB payload inbound." The second one came in higher and 6 black pods dropped from Under it. As it begin to bank AA fire came from nowhere. "This is stalker 2 taking fire! Taking fire!"
As the bombs hit their target the A-10 evaded the fire.

"Pull up! All allied aircraft, enemy AA enemy's found. Please be advised." The A-10 had smoke coming from one engine as he begin to head home. "Stalker squadron you saved many lives today, good hunting." As the LAV's closed on the beach the enemy braced themselves...
