Having tucked Ishita in bed and patting her to sleep under the effect of sedatives, Raman began to move but was held back by her hand that held his in a tight grip.

He kneeled down looking at their hands. Even in this state of unconsciousness, her hold on his hand had not loosened. It was a symbol of her trust and dependence on him.

If her trust on him was her strength, her dependence was her weakness.

He was afraid in what condition she would wake up.
What if she goes back to being the Ishita who was dependent on him for every little thing?
No!!!!! He was not prepared to see her like that again.

But did that mean he was prepared to lose her trust on him? His tears did not stop realising that he did not deserve her trust as he had hidden a huge chapter of her past from her. Yet he was not ready to tell her the truth, because telling the truth meant losing her trust and losing her forever.

Neither did he want to lose her to her illness, nor did he want to lose her to her past.

Couldn't they live in the same bubble they had been living in for the last few days?

"Mujhe chodke mat jaana Ishita!" He whispered holding their hands with his free hand in a tight grip.

He experienced a lump in his throat and coughed instinctively. He saw Ruhi was getting disturbed with his coughing, so he covered his mouth with his palm and rushed out.

He found Mihika lifelessly standing at the threshold of their room. He lost his temper as he held her arms and towed her out of the place.

Mihika came out of her trance and looked at Raman flabbergasted for being pushed with so much force.

"Milgayi tumhe tasalli? Hogaya tumhe yaqeen ke sach kya hai? Ya tumhe ab Ishita ke medical reports dekhne hain?" Raman roared.

"I had no idea ke Akka aise react karengi...isiliye maine..." she was feeling guilty for Ishita's condition.

"Maine tumse pehle hi kaha tha ke Ishita se uske past ke bare me kuch mat kehna. Par tumhe meri baat par yaqeen nahi tha. Ab dekha tumne Ishita ki kya halat hai? Yahi chahti thi tum?" Raman poured out his frustration on her.

"Mujhe nahi pata tha...." she cried helplessly.

"Kitni koshishon aur duaaon ke baad Ishita theek hone lagi thi, phir se jeene lagi thi. Aaj tumne phir use mout ki taraf dhakel diya. You have no idea ke tumne Ishita ke sath kya kiya hai" Raman brokedown.
