We arrived at Tyler's house within fifteen minutes. Elsa greeted me as soon as the door opened, giving me a bear hug and a kiss on the cheek.

I took her in my arms and got inside, with Tyler behind me.

"How was your Christmas, princess?" I asked her, smiling.

"It was amazing!" she smiled widely. "I went to Disney World with Alexa and mum and took pictures with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Dais-"

"I think she gets it, Elsa," Tyler cut her off.

"Don't be mean, Tyler," I smirked.

"Yes, big brother! Don't be mean," she frowned.

I sat down on the couch, after Tyler told me to, and played with Elsa.

"Oh, you're here!" Tyler's mum said, clapping her hands. "Lunch will be ready in two minutes. Paul!" she shouted.

A man, who had a sophisticated look, wearing a nice tuxedo, came in the living room. He scanned the room, and smiled when he spotted me.

"You must be Catherine," he stuck his hand out for me to shake. "Look at this beautiful lady. I must say, son, you are a really lucky guy to have her."

"I know, dad," he smiled and took me closer to his side.

"It is really nice to meet you," I told him.

The one thing on my mind at that time was one question; was he always like that? I mean, he was so careful of what he was saying, that someone could say that he is cold.

"Lunch is served and ready," Tyler's mum announced.

Elsa run to the kitchen, making all of us follow her. We sat down on a big rectangular table. I was seated between Alexa - who was also there - and Tyler, of course.

"How are the boys?" Alexa asked. "Have they destroyed the house yet?" she joked, making me laugh.

"What boys?" Tyler's father asked confused.

"I live with my two little brothers and my best friend," I informed him. "And they are fine. The house is still undamaged," I smiled.

"What about your parents?" Tyler's dad asked again.

Tyler and his mum glared at him, but I shook my head and answered anyway.

"My parents died in a car accident some days before my eighteen birthday," I informed him.

"I'm really sorry, I didn't know," he said, looking at me with pity in his eyes.

"It's okay, don't worry," I smiled at him.

"So, what are you thinking of studying after school?" he changed the subject.

I put my fork down and took Tyler's hand in mine. It didn't have to do with the question, but I always felt braver and more sure about myself when he was with me.

"I am thinking of studying to become a teacher. I have found some universities and some colleges around here that are really good."

"Around here? Why?" Tyler's mum then asked.

"Because my brothers will still have school and I can't leave them alone. And I wouldn't like to make them change school for me," I said and took a bite of my cheese pie.

"Fair enough," Tyler's dad nodded. "Tyler, though, is going to the best business college in New York. The one I went to when I was your age," he said proudly.

I turned to Tyler with raised eyebrows. I took my hand out of his and he sighed.

Why hadn't he told me anything?

"Dad," he started. "I don't want to become a businessman. I want to study engineering. Here, with Cat."

His dad chocked on his steak. "What?!" he questioned.

"You heard me. I want to stay here, with the girl of my dreams, and study what I like, not what you want me to study."
