Delusions

"Can Derp SSundee Stapleton please come to the front desk, immediately." The speaker announced.

I sigh and stand up annoyed. Ian, Sshadee, and I were playing a card game, but unfortunately I have to lay my cards down and hope no one cheats. I glance over at Seto who is obsessively trying to clean and organize our room before stepping out into the hallway. A light in the distance flickers for a moment, the halls completely empty and strangely quiet.

A light down at the end of the hall flickers, a shadow passing by. Small parts of the ceiling crumble and fall to the floor, the walls suddenly now have cracks in them, they look old.

"Hello?"

I look around frantically for the voice, it sounds familiar. I turn around, looking down the hall with the flickering lights, I see her.

"Can you hear me?"

"Kaylie?" I start walking towards her, but she only backs away, scared.

"Listen to me, please."

"I-I'm listening?" I say, confused, but curious.

I step closer, but instantly stop as I hear something break under my shoe. I look down and back away a bit, a pair of broken glasses laying on the floor. I hesitantly lean down and pick them up. The glasses look like Ian's, except they have a crack on one of the lenses.

Unfortunately, I look back up to see Kaylie isn't there anymore. The light had stopped flickering, the walls, and ceiling were back to normal. That was, weird. I put the broken glasses in my pocket and continue towards the front desk.

As soon as I saw the front desk, I saw David running in a circle screeching in panic, why? Some girl was standing there with a basket, and she was throwing something at him. The things she was throwing wasn't anything that could hurt him, but I'm not going to ask what they are. Nick was just standing at the front desk, face red, but he had that same unamused expression he usually has.

I go over to Nick, he glances at me, "Why do you look like a tomato!?" I say loudly.

I see Nick's eye twitch and he turns towards me, "Because I can't even!" He yells.

I blink slowly at him before looking over at the nurse, she looks annoyed.

I grin and lean on the desk, she stares at me, looking even more annoyed.

"Well? I didn't come all the way down here just to watch David be violently attacked by condoms, why am I here!?" I slam my hands down on the desk in anger and glare at her.

The nurse sighs, "The doctors prescribed you a new pill to take. Here." She rolls her chair over to a shelf, grabs something, then rolls back before lazily placing a pill bottle down.

I stare at it for a moment before grabbing the bottle, I can feel Nick's intense stare as I look down at the bottle.

"Take only if needed."

"Only if needed? What's that supposed to mean?" I look up at the nurse, but she's not there.

I look over at Nick, who is still staring intensely at me, "Where did the nurse go?"

He looks at me confused, "What nurse?"

I blink slowly and show him the pill bottle, "The nurse, she just gave me these."

Nick looks at the desk then back at me, "Those were already on the desk when you got here, you just picked them up."

At this point, nothing was making sense, and all I wanted to do was go back to Ian...
