I'll Miss You

Chapter 3

   I stood there in silence, still staring into his eyes.

    "And you are?" I was silent... "Li-L-" What was I doing?! I couldn't speak. All I could do was stare, and look like a total idiot.

   "LIZZIE!" I screamed my name, on accident...it was word vomit. Kyle took a step back, I could tell he was frightened. Until he looked away, so I looked away too. I grabbed the cleaning supplies and started to work. Knowing I embarrassed myself, I hid my face behind my hair.

 "Lizzie, as in Elizabeth?" I turned around and nodded. "Are you the one I texted this morning?" He said with a cute grin on his face.

 "Depends, did Brandon pick you up?" I said mumbling under my breath, hoping he didn't hear me.

  "Yea, actually he did!" He laughed a bit, as he looked into my eyes. I was guessing that this was the part in a movie where the characters kiss, but that's not what happened. We started to lean towards each other, we both backed off and turned around like nothing happened. I laughed a bit under my breath and started to clean once more. 

   I could only think to myself, "Was he really going to kiss me...I mean why would he? He probably has a girlfriend and anyways I barely knew him!"  

    "You know, I'm new here." I turned around to see him wiping down a piano.

   "Really, I-...I can show you around campus if you want?" I looked at him, smiling. 

I was expecting a no, but to my surprise he agreed. We both didn't want to clean up the mess, anyways it's not like anyone goes in there anymore. 

   We headed out the door and turned off the light. In front of me, I could see a tall boy. He grabbed my hand and said, "I think this is a start to a good friendship." And we both skipped down the halls, laughing.
