Dealing with the sickness was tiring. Living every day of your life with it was worse. Ever since the day you were born you had been cursed with a so-called incurable disease. This ment trips in and out of bustling hospitals and packed emergency rooms. You couldn't count the times you had almost died because of this disease. It was preventable and there was medicine to slow the effects yet there was none for getting rid of the entire disease. It was tiring. Living your entire life, seemingly trapped in the hands of this illness you had no power to cure. However there was hope in your life. Your best friend Mikan. She was an independent young lady with an incredible knack for observing injuries and the like. She was constantly stopping by your room, attempting to make you feel better. Today happened to be like any other day. The sunlight streams in through the window, illuminating the colorful flowers that your mother brought in the day before and the get better cards stacked up on the small shelf to the right. You looked around the small white room. It was almost always the same in every hospital. You were distracted from your thoughts as someone knocked on the door. You murmured a quiet come in as the lilac haired female stumbled into the room. Let's just say she ended up in a.. revealing position. You chuckled as she attempted to stand back up. She always knew how to make your dark days brighter. "Goodmorning Mikan", you smiled, regarding your friend. "G-goodmorning (Y/N)", She replied. "How's training been going for you", you asked. Mikan had been training to become a professional doctor for quite a while now and took special classes to help get herself licensed. She sighed, looking very unhappy with herself. It was clear that something had happened. "It didn't go well I suppose", you stated. She nodded her head. "We had started making progress when things went wrong", she sighed. You sat up as best you could to hug your friend. You talked for a while, getting on about different subjects to ease your mind off of what you were going through. You had to admit. Time flew when Mikan was with you. She was like a drug. Something that took your mind off of everything that went on in your life that you needed to cast aside. "Listen (Y/N) I just recently heard from one of my peers that a really rich company is putting in research to help find a cure for this disease", She smiled at you. You felt tears pricking your eyes. "Who did this for me?" You asked her, confused as to who possibly could have know about this. "I did", Mikan spoke up,"I had talked to the company about helping you." Your eyes widened as you sat up to embrace Mikan and place a small kiss on her head. She smiled hugging back.

It had been done. Thanks to Mikan's barging with the company you had finally gotten what you needed. Your cure. You had waited three years for this breakthrough in the making. You were soon discharged from the hospital having been cured of your supposedly indestructible disease. The day after being discharged you made your way to a special person's house. She had changed everything for you. You mustered up your courage and rang the bell. The lilac haired female slowly opened the door, shocked to see you there. "Mikan Tsumiki... will you go out with me?"~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
