*Third Person POV*Jesse was driving Kate home while Kate was mumbling incoherently. Jesse started laughing as she took in how loopy Kate actually was. She noticed Kate was fumbling around with her cell phone.
"Kate?" Jesse asked cautiously "What are ya doing there love?" She watched as Kate bit her tongue trying to focus.
"I'm texting my main, I mean my man." Kate stopped what she was doing to think whether she got the word right, and when she figured she did she continued typing on her phone.
"Maybe you should give me your phone Kate." Jesse said as she focused her attention back on the road.
"Noooor I can handle this!" *hiccup* "I'm not that loopy. Ha loopy is a pretty neat word huh?"
Jesse laughed and rolled her eyes. "Yeah its hysterical, but let me see your phone, you don't want to text something you'll regret!"
That only made Kate grip her phone even tighter. 'Maybe I can distract her' Jesse thought.
Before Jesse had anymore time to think of a plan Kate handed Jesse her cell phone. Jesse looked at her confused but took it without any hesitation. "You're right." Kate said. "I'll play hard to get." Jesse laughed before pulling into a parking in front of Kate's apartment building. "That's not exactly what I meant but that works to!" Jesse shut the car off and proceeded to help Kate get to her apartment.
*Now in Apartment*
*Kate's POV*
"Ughh." I groaned as Jesse opened the door to my apartment. "Go sit on the couch." She instructed me. "I'll find you something to drink." I waddled over to the couch and plopped myself down on my back. "Top left shelf I have some tea!" I yelled back to Jesse, whom I could hear rummaging through my cupboards. With the sound of running water I had assumed she found it.
"How are you feeling? The tea will be ready in a minute." I grabbed a blanket from the edge of the couch and proceeded to snuggle up in it. "Really good actually, I don't feel as loopy anymore, just a little lightheaded and dazed." I motioned to the other end of the couch for her to sit. "Thanks but I should probably get your tea first." I patted the couch once again. "No don't, it will be too hot right now anyway, just come sit." She walked over to the couch before sitting down with my feet and half of the blanket in her lap. "So tell me about Chris!" She said with an excited smile on her face. "Chris?" I asked. "Yeah your boyfriend!" I began to laugh. "Chris isn't my boyfriend, why would you think that?" "Oh well you said you were texting your boyfriend and he's the name you texted." Shock crossed my face as soon as the words left her mouth. "Quick Jesse give me my phone, I think I texted the wrong person." Do you know that feeling when you have no idea what you said to someone and you just fear the worst? Yeah that's how I'm feeling right about now. As soon as Jesse handed me my phone I immediately unlocked it and went straight for the messages. As soon as I saw the message I instantly cringed.
"Will I everr get to see you in that Buckycostume agaon? It was sooo hott"
I'm not sure what made me cringe more. The spelling, or the fact I actually sent that. Then I remember who I'd sent it to and I couldn't shrink down any more in my seat if I tried. I texted a response to Chris as fast as I could humanly manage.
"I am so so sorry I sent that to you, I was on laughing gas & I'll explain later. Do me a favor and don't show Sebastian that?"
*Current Time*
He responded about a minute later. And that one minute seemed like an eternity.
"Laughing gas? Ha say no more, I assumed it wasn't for me. You're positive I can't tell him? It might save his pride."
