Chapter 1

Chapter one

"Do it" he whispers into my ear. It sends chills down my spine. "Fine" I say at last giving in. A small smirk forms on his thin pink lips. I quickly undo my shirt and slide off my shorts. I take a deep breath and jump.

My arms flail wildly before my body crashes into the water and quickly I resurface. I look up and see that he followed and is now soaring down into the water. He makes contact and disappears under the glassy water.

A few bubbles escape to the surface but they stop. "shit" I mutter before diving into the water after him. I search wildly while my heart pounds hard.

I then am shocked as he pulls me into his strong tan arms and pulls me to the surface laughing hysterically. "Got you Spence!" He says before grinning widely. "Cam! you scared me half to death!" I scream pulling away from him and splashing him.

"Oh no, you did not just do that!" He says laughing. "Hm yah I guess I did" I say giggling back. He quickly splashes me back and then I do and so on. "Spence!" he shouts.

I whip my head around just before slipping on a rock and plummeting down far beyond the surface. Flailing and struggling to get to the top. My head pounds hard as my lungs start to give up from lack of oxygen.

I sputter out water gasping desperately for some air.

"Spence are you ok?" I look up to see a boy looking down at me drained of color. "um, who are you!?"" I say confused pushing him off me. "Spence it's me Cam, you know Cameron! Your boyfriend you've had for two years! The love of your life!" he cries out in desperation.

I shrug and get up but a wave a dizziness floods over me causing me to get knocked off my feet and onto the sand. "Spence woah slow down" the boy mumbles at me helping me out.

He glances me over dazed like I'm some foreign creature. "I think we should get you to the hospital and they'll get your memory back I promise!" he says desperately. I nod as he picks me up into is arms as we start heading back to his car.

"What happened how did this happen" I ask

"We were out bridge diving like usual and we were both in the water laughing when you slipped and hit your head on a rock you plummeted down into the water and I swam and brought you up to the shore and resuscitated you" he says quickly kinda spaced out.

"Oh, I'm sorry I don't remember you"

"You will"

I look up at him he had his mouth in a frown and he had furrowed brows. He look detached from the situation like he couldn't comprehend it.

"Here we are, wanna lay down in the back?" he asks gesturing towards it. "I'll sit up front I guess"

He opens the door and sets me in the seat. I lay my head against the seat and turn to face the window. He starts up the car and hands me my shorts and shirt.

"Thanks..." I say looking down at my lap with the clothes. "No need to thank me they're you clothes" he says with a chuckle. A very small smile sets on my face

I wonder if I really loved this boy. He seems infatuated with me maybe he really does care for me and maybe I cared for him. Maybe I

"Help!!" A small voice comes from in front of the car interrupting my thoughts. "WATCH OUT!!!" I scream as a small girl stands in front of the car with wounds on her head and blood on her small night gown.

Cameron swerves the car immediately, I leap from the car and run to the small girl. "please help me miss this man is coming for me and I can't get away" she whispers barely audibly.

"Come with me, I can help you!" I say desperately to her.

"I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't. please help me please help please!" she repeats over and over again.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!!" yells Cameron running over to me. "I'm helping this" I stop; realizing the girls not there anymore. I turn quickly to see if she ran off but there was nothing.

"I uh, never mind I thought there was uh deer in the road." I stutter out. "There's nothing here!" he says sharply. "lets go, before I loose my patience" he says grabbing my arm; dragging me off to the car.

"Hey! Let go of me your hurting me!" I cry out as he tightens his grip. He ignores my calls and continues dragging me. He then opens the door and shoves me in.

"Who the fuck do you think you are!?" I yell as he gets in to the drivers side. "What did you just say?" he says before slapping me. "Shut your filthy mouth and don't speak to me again!" he yells.

I turn towards the window making myself as small as I can.

We eventually pull into the hospital. I quickly get out and run into the hospital trying to get away from Cameron. I burst through the doors and briskly walk to the first nurse I see.

"Hello miss, how may I help you?" she says kindly taking me to the front desk. "I-I slipped on a rock and hit my head and my friend resuscitated me but I can't remember him or anyone or who I am..." I explain

She frowns. "well the wait might be a while but we'll get you to someone as soon as possible" she smiles and takes me to a seat. "thank you" I say weakly as I sit down.

Cameron walks in and searches the room for me and comes and sits with me. "Hey, here's your cell" he hands me an iPhone. I grab it and quickly scroll through my contacts.

I press mom and dial her number.

"Hello? Mom?"

"I thought you ran away my baby I'm so glad you're safe!"

"Mom I can't remember anything please help me"
