This is a dedication to my Best friend Isabella who has a story similar to this however has not made the Olympics yet as she is only in her pre-teens.
One Early morning on a beautiful day a young baby boy was born, execpt there was dramas in his birth as in one of his legs had no tibia bone. This ment the docotrs could either cut off his legs up to his knees or leave him to live with a twisted leg (which was not an opition)!
As his mother could do nothing about this, all she wanted to do what was best for her child and had to let the operation commence.
After a few years, the child, who was named George and his mother and father, were getting used to his disablitiy however he couldn't live hopping around all his life so the doctor said that when he would have to get fit for a prosthetic leg.
When the time came George's mother was very excited and proud of her baby boy as he was going to be able to have the ability to walk. Not long after they got an appointment with the doctor and it was their turn to go into therapy. Meanwhile in the therapy room, the doctor measured George for his first prosthetic leg.
Four weeks later, the leg arrived and George and his mother went back to the hospital to collect it. When George had his leg on he tried to walk but couldn't. The doctor said that it was going to take somewhile for him to get used to it and they would have to arrange more appointments for therapy to do so.
Finally, the years passed and George became excellent at walking and a very successful swimmer. As a matter of fact, he was so good he made the Olympics for the sport and won several medallions for his country and was world known and truley knew the meaning of success!
Please make a pledge for my friend or just read this because knowning your aware of things like this is also bringing smiles to peoples faces; http://peoplepledge.com.au/2013/isabella-herrmann/
