Forest Friends (A Leafy x Evil Leafy story)

Chapter one: Berries.

Leafy looked down at her hands. She huffed at her roughed up finger. How long was she gone? she didn't know. All she knew is she was stuck in the forest. Many things were said about this forest. Something about a psycho killer or something. She honestly didn't care. Her best friend had forgotten her anyway, what would it matter if she died if everyone hated her. She teared up at this thought, but she was still resilient.

"Who needs them...I can live on my own..." She flinched at a loud bird cooing. "Somehow..." She got off her comfy stump and stretched, her bones cracking at the lack of movement. She cringed at the noise and soon began to go on her way.

"First...I need to get some food.." She said to herself, looking down as she walked the cold dirt path.

"Maybe I could make a small shelter as well? That would sure help about my warmth situation..." Leafy sighed as she said this. She suddenly stopped and looked around. She swore she heard something. Maybe she was mistaken? No no...she DEFINITELY heard something.

"H-Hello..?" she said, her voice shaking a little. She didn't get any form of response, making her just sigh and think she was just being anxious. She rubbed her temples softly.

"Ugh...I just really need some food before I go mad.." She said, grunting a little in annoyance. She began to walk off again.

A few moments later, leafy had finally found herself a good set up. a small clearing filled with many berry bushes and edible mushrooms. She grinned at the foggy sight in front of her. She ran right up to the bushes in excitement.

"Perfect!!!" She exclaimed as she picked some black and blue berries. She started shoving some in her mouth, but stopped when she heard a sudden growl, making her freeze in fear. she started to look around quickly.

"U-Um...hellooo..?" She could feel her heart beat when she heard the growl get louder and louder, as if it were getting closer to her. her breath quickened.

And just like that a bright red blur tackled her, screeching in a high pitched screech. Leafy screamed herself. She didn't want to die. She didn't even want to get injured. She wanted to be safe and sound. Suddenly the screeching just...stopped. Leafy lowly stopped screaming herself as soon as she knew she wasn't hurt. she opened her clenched eyes slowly, only to see...Another leaf? She crawled out from under the similar looking figure and continued her heavy breathing.

The red leaf crawled back over to leafy on all fours, walking around her in circles, taking small sniffs on her waxy skin. She then just casually laid down in leafy's lap, looking up at her with a blank, but content, expression. Leafy stared in confusion.

"Um...Hi?" She questioned. She was quite confused. One second she was in a near death experience and now she's being used as a pillow. The other leaf responded to leafy in a screech, making leafy cover her ears.

"gh...C-Can you speak English..?" She asked. the leaf just shook her head no. Leafy could obviously tell she could at least understand her.

"Well-uh-what's your name..?" She tilt her head as she asked. The red leaf grabbed a near by stick and climbed off of leafy, sitting in front of her. She started to write in the wet and muddy dirt.

"E..L..El? That's a pretty name..!" She smiled gently, making El give off a bright (sharp) toothy smile. Leafy just giggled a little.

"Now what made you so upset? Was it the berries?" She questioned as she held them up. El shook her head no, then just kind've poked leafy, Implying it was her.

"Me? Oh! I-I must've scared you! I am so sorry!" She frowned and tried to continue apologizing, but El covered leafy's mouth quickly and shook her head no. She implied she was fine. She then rolled back into leafy's lap casually, her sharp tooth grin being shown again. Leafy smiled back, gently patting El's head.

"If you want...We can eat together..? I did gather a lot!" She showed off the large pile of berries near the bushes. El just ran over to it quickly and took handfuls in her mouth.

"U-Um. Okay then?" She said, sounding nervous. she took a handful herself, eating each berry one by one. El looked over at her and screeched gently, nuzzling her arm a bit. Leafy was caught off guard by this, making her jump and throw a few berries in the air, making El go after them. they spent a couple of hours casually doing things like this.

Leafy sighed, her skin covered in sticky dried berries. She suddenly stood up and dusted herself off. El looked up at her in confusion. She screeched as she did so.

"Oh,uh, I was going to go back to my place..sorry..It was fun meeting you though!" She started to turn around and walk off, only for El to transport in front of her and cling to her arm.

"Huh?" she questioned, only for El to cling harder to her arm. Leafy sighed a little.

"I guess you wanna come with me huh? Alright then." She smiled kindly as El vibrated gently in excitement. They began to walk off.

after a while of walking they finally find the large stump again. Leafy made a sigh of relief as she pulled her arm from El and plopped down onto it.

"home sweet home." She yawned, sounding a little distressed. El didn't notice that though. She just plopped down beside leafy and cuddled into her, as she was tired as well. Leafy smiled a little at this and curled up herself.

"Good night..." She whispered as she slowly began to drift off.

This was the beginning of an odd relationship...
