Hi ppl reading this! I'm in drama and I'm training to write poems. Here are afew that I wrote but will never perform because my eyes have a mind of their own... Anyway, enjoy!!

The Girl I Once Knew
There was once a girl I knew
Now she was quite something
Loud, over enthusiastic, irritating as ever
Everyone hated her but loved the smiles she brought
Happy, unafraid
Uncaring of the acid drenched words society spat at her
Living on the joy of others and that alone
Until they left her- one by one
They grew up, she didn't
"Immature! Annoying! Loner!"
She won't listen, don't listen, don'-
"WEIRDO! ATTENTION-SEEKER! BITCH!!"
The untamed waters of depression came hammering at her dam of self esteem
It could take no more
Crumbling, tumbling the walls crashed down
The waters seizing and drowning her last shreds of happiness
Yet she got up, they pushed her down
Got up, pushed, got up, pushed, got up, p...
STOP! She gave up, lying back down to be consumed and claimed by the waters
Why keep trying, when theres nothing left to fight for?
Outside she looked the same
Inside she was lost, she was just another girl now
A faithful lapdog of society
"Sorry to ask but, why did you change? I liked the old you MUCH better."
Now you say something?
After I fought and lost the war?
After I was shot and left for dead?
After all the pain? The tears? The sorrow? The hurt?
After everything?!?
Still I listened, I searched for her
I searched everywhere, every place, every nook and cranny
And turned back unfruitful
I have a confession...
I was the girl I knew
I was quite something
Loud, over enthusiastic, irritating as ever
Everyone hated me but loved the smiles....
She. They loved the smiles SHE brought
That girl is not me!
That girl is gone
Gone with the wind
Actually, she was dead
Dead because... They had killed her....
