Two Cups of Coffee

The humid air tries to mask your cold embrace
Over two cups of coffee we sat in daze

The blueberry muffin bonds the bliss of our souls
But was divided by the cheesecake's triple roll
Huge questions arise and mirror in your eyes
As my heart keeps pounding, afraid of your demise
A third is silence that creeps over our physique
Over two cups of coffee, hot and arctic

My icy cup melts rapidly into your stare
As the warmth of yours gently fades in my despair
Both have lost its savor and purity
Blemished by time, trapped in ambiguity
Alas, what's filled has finally been consumed
Two cups of coffee, isolated, in wound.
