The scorching sunlight piercing through my eyelids and the sound of an angry neighbor woke me up.

I lazily, literally, roll out of bed and yawn as I stretch and headed towards my bathroom, rubbing my eyes. After taking a good five-minute shower and brushing my teeth, shaving my face, I admired myself in the mirror. My green eyes were clear as day and my brown hair was now damp from the shower. My tan skin smelled like 'Dove' soap. I walk out with a towel wrapped around my waist and head into my closest.

I went with a navy blue button-down shirt, black dress pants, and my fancy dress shoe. I apply some jell to my hair and walk into the kitchen.

As I drink my coffee and checked my emails in my laptop for anything I needed to know, I hear noises that were all too familiar;

"How did you guys get in here, anyway?"

"I have a key, remember?"

"Why are you here, then?"

"Because if we weren't, you would have been still asleep."

"Why are you guys getting comfy in my living room, then?"

"Because we want to hang out and rest and what better place to go it but here?"

"How about you guys leave my house and go do your jobs?"

"My recent book in currently going through editing and I'm doing research for my next article piece for Derek. I'm thinking supernatural for a new book. What do you think?"

"My new Photoshoot isn't until Tuesday and I've already checked, printed and mailed my latest work to my old client, and I don't have any work to hand into Derek."

"I've finished my recent job so I'm free,"

"And I'm not needed until Monday, plus I'm the boss."

"You are all a bunch of smart asses. Do you have to have an answer to all of my questions?"

"Yep."

I chuckled as I walk to get my jacket and paperwork. Cleo and her friend always have such lively conversations in the morning, it's hard staying not to stay entertained.

It's not like the walls are so thin that we can hear everything we do in our separate apartments. It's just that it's so quiet in my house you have nothing else to do but listen and concentrate on other noises. And besides, have you heard them? They are really loud.

My name is Logan. I'm very effective and virtuous in my job. I live by myself and have taken care of myself for as long as I can remember. I don't really have a romantic life besides the fact that I try to date a girl, but sometimes it doesn't even last two weeks. It's not that I'm picky, it's just... that I already have a girl in mind, but sadly, nothing's happened yet. I have my best friends, Jason and Edison. Two pains in the ass, but I wouldn't ask for anything more from them. I would tell you more about me, but I have to get going or I'll be late for work.

Chewing down the last bite of my croissant, I put on my jacket, grab my binder with my paperwork and my keys, and walk out of my apartment, only to come face to face with none other than Cleo Grace.

You know that person in your life that with just one smile can improve your whole day? The one who can look like an absolute troll and still look like the shiniest diamond to you, or can simplify all your problems with just a one word. The person you want to protect and do anything for but you don't want to cross any lines to mess things up with because just having them in your life is enough more than enough. The person you want to drop kick because they are so stubborn, but you just want to cuddle up and be thier source of comfort. The one you think you're meant to be, with because you're mentally, physically and emotionally attracted too. Well, that's her.
