There was a time when I believed that the world I live in was as innocent as me. I once believed that everyone in this world had a heart. I was a fool, I was naive, I was completely not known of the horrible world that I now lived in.

December 24th, I was attending a Christmas Eve Party for my best friend, Jonah. He pratically begged me to go. Normally, I would have said no and helped my family with the gift wrappings, but I wanted to change. That was my mistake Number One, my mistake number Two was walking home instead of begging Jonah to drop me off at home. Mistake Number Three, trusting a complete stranger to drive me home.

My name Is Winter Farrow. You've heard about me huh? Yeah, the girl on the news, the missing children poster and back of the milk cartons. I considered Christmas Eve the day before blessings could occur--my birthday. I was happy to receive my gifts, but now, there's one gift that I would kill to give up, wanna know what?

December 24th, The day of my kidnap.

                                    ~ Winter ~

"Winter, please! It's Christmas Break, you'll be 18 tommorrow, you'll be 18 and you NEVER went to a party?!" Jonah pleaded. I glared at him, I hated him for being so freaking handsome, it was always my weakness. His blond hair and gray-light blue eyes, the brown stubble on his cheeks --even if his hair was blond- and hard, broad shoulders with a toned musular body. He was about 6'1. He had the most amazing smile, it would always make my heart beat about 100 miles per hours. I was madly crushing on Jonah Romana.

That's right, me, Winter is offically, permanently stuck in the friend zone. Wonderful. Sarcasm Included.

"I'm fine with not going anywhere Jonah! I just got back from Boarding School, let me settle down before trying to offer me to go to some party!" I frowned, folding my arms across my chest. I've been back in New York City for only two days, I've been attending a boarding school in London. So, my voice was most likely having some type of british tone added to it.

"Oh come on, Your probably gonna say that its perfectly fine to be a virgin and 18 too!" Jonah scoffed, and rolled his eyes. I flushed a crimson red.

"Actually, there's nothing wrong with being a virgin!" I exclaimed. Jonah rose a brow, "I'm serious! Isn't that what boys like now a days anyway! Ha, see I'm preparing myself." I said, full of confidence. Jonah chuckled.

"Sorry to burst your bubble, but that was then it is now. Everyone is into having sex during their teen years. Come on, Winter. I'm not asking you to marry me." Jonah said with sarcasm. He frowned at me. I rolled my eyes and tried to stop my blush from getting even more noticable.

No, because I would love for you too ask me to marry you.

"Jonah I said-" Jonah cut me off. He grabbed me with one of his hand, wrapping it around my waist then using his free hand to pull my chin up. I stared into his eyes, losing myself in the beautiful color.

"Please, Snow." That's right he just called me snow. Which is technically my middle name. Winter Marliena Snow Farrow. I sighed. The look he was giving me- I couldn't believe it. He used the puppy dog face on me! I groaned and rolled my eyes.

"FINE!" I yelled. Being the mature person Jonah is he did a victory dance. I rolled my eyes. "Now, get out so I can get dressed."

"Thank you, thank you, you will not regret this. Wait, consider this your birthday present!" Jonah exclaims, more like yell in happiness as I close the door. I roll my eyes. Ha, Birthday Present. Yeah. Right.
