Shadow's POV
"Whatever," I snarl and exit the office.

There's no way I'm getting help from some 'guide' or anyone. I'm Shadow the Hedgehog, a rebel, a bad boy, and most importantly a rule breaker. No one tells me what to do.

No one.

You must be wondering what the principal meant by my 'situation'. It's none of you're business, but I might as well tell you since you'll find out eventually. Before I came here, I was kicked out of 3 schools.

Technically 4, but that school's non-existent since I set it on fire.

I've done other things too, but I don't think you need to know details.

"Hey, bad boy!"

I stop walking to turn my head. It's that girl the principal assigned to show me around. She's actually kind of cute. A A/T with H/L H/C hair, F/C fur and E/C eyes.

Wait, what? Oh no no no no, this is NOT going to happen!

I kept walking like I didn't see her, but she kept talking to me.

"I know you can here me, Shadow . I'm not going to leave you alone until turn around."

I roll my eyes and turn to face her.

"What do you want? Are you here to make sure I'm on my best behaviour?" I mock.

She snorted and had an amused look on her face. "No, Mr. Acorn wanted me to give you this."

She handed me a piece of paper.  I snatched it from her grasp to see it was that slip new students give their teacher. I shove the slip into my back pocket, planning to ditch. I look up and realize the girl wasn't in front of me anymore. She's already walking back to her class.

Suddenly, she comes to a hault and turns her head around, like she knew I was watching her.

"Well, are you coming or are you going to stand there like an idiot?" She asks irritated.

I was almost taken aback by her attitude. I said almost. Then it came to me that she pretty much called me an idiot. Usually, if someone did that, I would've beat the crap out of them. I decided to play it cool instead.

"Nah, I'm gonna ditch," I smirk, waiting for her reaction. Apparently she's a goody-two-shoes from what the principal was saying. I wanted to see what she would do.

She just shrugged and said, "OK, have fun."

"You're not going to try to stop me?"

"Why should I?" She raised an eyebrow. "It's like you said, I'm not your babysitter. If you want to skip, that's you're choice."

I just looked at her. Girls didn't normally have an 'I don't care' attitude around me. They would flirt and throw themselves at me,  but I would turn down every single one of them. This girl was different.

"Now, I have to get to class because I actually care about my education, but I'll say this since I'm a nice person."

She opened her arms wide while walking backwards. "Welcome to Emerald High, Shadow."

Her back was then facing me again as she turned the corner.

I headed for the doors to exit the building. I stopped with my hand about to push it open. I was still thinking about that girl. Somehow, I find her intriguing. She was feisty and those eyes...

What the heck, Shadow!!! What are you thinking?

I don't even know what the principal said her name is, but I do know one thing.

I like the way she walks.

Your POV
I'm finally back at my desk in Biology.  I missed the first 25 minutes and have to make up notes because of that Shadow guy.

Do you know how awkward it is to walk into a class with everyone looking at you like you murdered somebody?

It's realllllly awkward.

Way to go with being unnoticed, Y/N.

Right now I'm doing worksheets. Mr. Vector allowed us to have a partner, but being socially awkward,  I of course worked alone.  I was halfway done when someone tapped my shoulder. I look up to see a silver hedgehog next to me with yellow eyes and chest fur.

"Hi," He gave me a small smile.

"Uh... hi?"

"I'm Silver. What's your name?"

His parents were sure creative when they came up with his name.

"Y/N."

"That's really pretty," He says.

"Um, thanks," I look at him weirdly.

"So, I was wondering of we could be partners," Silver told me.

I'd rather work alone, but he seemed nice enough and I didn't want to hurt his feelings.

"Okay," I answer.

He smiles. "What worksheet are you on?"

"I'm almost done with the third one. What about you?"

"I'm just beginning the third. Do you want to compare answers before continuing?"

"Sure."

We switch each other's worksheets and look over them. That mostly consisted of convincing Silver that he got some answers wrong and me getting them right. I then helped him get the third worksheet done. It was kinda fun to have a partner.

We had finished all the class work right before the bell rang.  Mr. Vector dismissed us and said that the worksheets were homework if we didn't finish them in class. I mentally cheered that I didn't have Biology homework.

"Wait, Y/N!"

Silver walks beside me as I exit the classroom. "What's your next class?"

"Art," I reply.

"Bummer, I have English," He pouts.

I laugh. "You poor thing."

"I know right? It's soooo boring," His pout turns into a grin. "Do you want to sit with me at lunch? I can introduce you to my friends."

"I don't know, Silver.  I'm not really a people person and I sit with my best friend anyway."

"Your friend can sit with us, too. There's plenty of room at our table."

"I'll think about it," I tell him.

"Cool! Hope to see you at lunch!" He says to me.

We wave goodbye to one another and go our separate ways. As I'm walking to Art, I smile to myself.

I think it's possible I made a new friend.

I wanted to update because I start my first day of 9th grade tomorrow.

I'm bursting with joy! (sarcasm)
That means I'll probably won't be able to update as much because of school work or I won't survive.

Anyway, I thank everyone that's reading this. I'm super happy you guys are enjoying this so far, even if it's just the beginning. Continue to vote and comment on this story. I'll try to do chapter 3 as soon as possible!
