Thomas' POV:
I'm so hurt. I want to cry. I wish Kai were still here he would hold me close to him and he'd tell me everything was going to be okay. Ty puts his arm around me and smiles. Mandy set us all down in a dark dismal hallway it seems familiar to me. As we walk there are small holes still in the ceiling. I bet it's from debris Kai launched. "He died doing what he loved." I nodded Ty was right. "Also think about it like this now he's back with Paul. Personally I think he could've moved on. An attractive power like Kai's he would've had any guy he wanted the next day. Heck he probably could've had me."
And there it is. Mandy brings her long hair back. I put my hand up. She lets it fall back into place and it sits just covering her eye lightly Jessica Rabbit style. I turned to Ty. "Have some respect. He just gave his life for us and you think you can just make jokes about his fiancee dying? You are just so rude. How cou--"
He slaps me. Hard. I step back stunned. Steven inhaled deeply and Mandy was stunned for a second before she grabs him in her hair and began smashing him on the floor. Then a meek voice called to us. "I, um, think I could help you get rid of him. I can, um, open a hole in the clouds over there if you want me to. I hope you do because nobody should hit someone they call a friend. Especially not, um, Thomas he is the key to all this."
He did as he promised and opened a hole in the clouds. Mandy pulled back and right before she launched him Ty looked at me and whispered "I'm sorry I'll explain how sorry later."
We stood inside the hospital I called home when Dr. Batfry was still around. Pollux stood by a door holding his arm smiling lightly. His eyes shifted from the floor to my cheek and back. His gaze shifted continually. Mandy pointed at him with her hair. "You look familiar is it because your face was plastered on the side of this monstrosity a moment ago."Pollux backed up. He held up the evil eye symbol his dad was obsessed with. Mandy stared at him. "No, you aren't him you're to afraid of me."
Pollux distracted her by pointing one way and diving the other so he could hide behind me. He pointed at her and mouthed words. No sound came out. I pulled him close to me the way I wish Kai could. He cuddled up close to me a small smile appeared on his face. "Mandy calm down you're scaring him. This is Pollux remember the sweet one who likes me." He looked up at me embarrassed. "Don't worry sweety everybody knows you aren't exactly good at hiding it."
Mandy looked down at him and nodded. She offered to shake hands with him but Pollux hid further behind me. Steven laughed his little head off at how big bad Mandy scared Pollux. Nobody else seemed to find it funny. I looked around throwing Ty out made a bigger hole in the ceiling. Now I have enough light to realize where we are. "Why are we in your dad's hospital?"
Pollux shrunk down. "Well I always felt safest here. Castor tormented me everywhere else but here he was the center of dads attention so he would leave me be. This is my soul. Castor said if my soul was in the big center ball thing it would give him time to figure out his next move. He told me if I stayed here he wouldn't hurt you." Then where is Castor? Where would Castor feel safe? I look down at Pollux. He smiles up at me and steps out from behind me. "Mandy, Steven I would like, um, to apologize for my rudeness. I am Pollux, twin of Castor."
He stood up a little bit straighter. Mandy offered her hand once again and he reached out for it. Reluctantly they shook hands. After that he stood behind me again. We decided to explore the hospital a bit more there has to be something to tell us where Castor might be hiding. Normally I'd ask Pollux but ... "Hey Pollux I need to more about Castor. Where would did he like to go?"
Pollux thought for a moment and looked down at the floor. "He always seemed happiest over by the school sign. He always stood by it and planned his escape. Once he took over my body he stood there for hours muttering about how he now has a better chance." We reached a door covered in the evil eye charms. This would lead to their father's office. Pollux turned to the left there was another door there. "This was my room I haven't been here in a while Castor's is behind you."
He tried to open the door but found it locked. Steven melted the doorknob and lightly opened it. "Ta-Da"
The door swings open revealing a tidy room. It had a twin bed, a small desk, and small table and chair in the corner. Pollux walked in and immediately collapsed on his well made bed. A big smile on his face. He wrapped himself in his navy comforter. I step in and look around. There is a letter sitting under a caramel apple candle on his desk. I handed it to him. He unraveled himself and opened it wildly.
His eyes slowly read the letter. When he finished he re wrapped himself in the blanket rolled off his bed and rolled underneath it. Mandy lifted the bed and stared at him. Below his bed he had a small set up. There were tissues, snacks, and bottles of water. He looked at her. "I'll be fine, I just need some time. I couldn't find this letter for the longest time."
Dear Pollux,
Castor can be hard to deal with I know. I know you really care about him and want nothing more than for both of you to be happy. That's great but I think you need to care for yourself first and let him come somewhere after. You have a good heart and you really show it. I believe that Castor does appreciate it and he just doesn't know how to show it. He has told me during his lessons he cares about you and doesn't want to hurt you but something compels him to he says it looks like a blob ... Janice delete that last part Pollux doesn't need to know about the dark side of his brothers powers. Remember if you ever feel unsafe just tell me I don't want you to ever feel unsafe.
Love,
Papa
