The human heart, I believe, is by far the strongest organ there is. It breaks a million times, is shattered into pieces. Yet it still works.
They say trust is like a mirror, once it breaks. You can glue it back together but it will never be the same.
The same can be said of hearts. Time heals all wounds but the scars remain triggering memories both happy and sad.
It is true the heart, just like trust, like a broken mirror, never remains the same. It does something else though. It grows. It builds up thicker walls.
However, here's what's different. The heart may grow but it doesn't learn. It argues this point saying it has learned but in reality it hasn't.
Once the top walls break, the inner heart is the same as it once was. It is always there no matter how many walls you put up. All that matters truly is how long it takes for the walls to be broken down.
