Neptune's Betrayal

CHAPTER 1

Has everything been prepared? 

Yes master, everything is ready. 

When shall we strike them? 

Soon young child, soon. 

We will strike when and where they least expect it. 

Yes but how long will that take?

Why are you so curious young one, it's almost as if you don't trust me. 

No master that's not the case at all, it's just.

What it's just what? 

Nothing master 

I'm sorry, it just burst out. 

That's right, now go make sure that everything is ready. 

Yes master.

As is the case with most days on Neptune the day was blue the world was cold and if you didn't cover your self you would wind up losing your humanity within yourself. But despite all that Neptune was still the busiest planet in this arm of the Milky Way. It was something of an oddity that so many businesses would decide to set up on this planet where so much was regulated and had a price that even the air was taxed and you would find people suffocating because they forgot to pay the tax. However there may be one reason why so many businesses want to be here and that is the library. Now it may sound weird that a library would draw so many to this one planet when there are so many others, but this is no ordinary library this is the one library that put the library of Alexandria to shame. This library takes up half of the planet inside and out. While its true many of the businesses are in orbit and volitile the planet itself is filled with residences so much so that the planets surface is solid, there is however one sole peice of the planets surface that still is pure and untouchedand it lives within the library.

Now you've heard so much about this library you're probably wondering what it truly looks like, and in all honesty it's probably time you saw it but we're taking a little detour and seeing the government of this lovely little planet for some time. Now this isn't your usual government made up of a buch of pompous assholes. But it's also not a large criminal syndicate who loves thier books and money. It's more like a roman democracy made up of small groups who each govern a planetary region,the largest of these regional governments is the librarians and thier security. The other regional governments respect the library and its infinite knowledge, but each government mainly rules over thier own section to avoid too many catastrophies. But every once in a while they all meet and discuss the main policies of the planet and its inhabitants.

Now the reason that you've come to visit this planet, the library. At this point your probably wondering if the library has an actual name and it does but it has been lost (or stolen nobodys really sure), and forgotten throughout the generations and so it has been referred to as the library for centuries. That however has had no effect on how much its reputation has grown to become the best in this arm of the Milky Way. The library doesnt look all that interesting from the outside compared to the scenery other than the fact that it takes up a whole hemisphere of a planet it truly has no real signficance from the outside it just looks like a twenty story building among others that are hundreds of stories tall with sky walks connecting them every thirty stories or so. Dont judge this book by it's cover because it is the most extensive collection of books and material ever collected in one place. The building itself is kept a crisp zero degrees celsius to make sure the books dont deteriorate to fast. But as you were told earlier this is a cold planet much colder than zero degrees celsius, so the question arises how do they keep it at zero, well the answer is actually quite ingenious. They harness the power of the sun to warm the building, there are many many mirriors in the space over the planet and in between them and the sun are magnifiers to focus the sun's light and energy.

Within the library are so many different sections and desks that many librarians windup living at thier desks and living off the deliveries that the library gets for the various animals that live in the library's bowels. However most people only ever see one or two librarians in a year but most of them see each other every day. And this day is no different from any other, all the librarians are in the middle of the massive complex as they always wind up doing during the day. "77-78-79-213465790667-81 wait what the hell. Who put thi- ARINOSTOTIUS!!!!!"

As Belzibauster is running across half of the library to reach the area Alansidious patrols. The planetary government meeting was trying to figure out the norms of the coming two and a half decades. 

I suggest that we cut off the other planets and cut down on the amount of immigrants entering the business region.

Are you crazy that would cause a complete embargo from other planets. 

And lets not even mention the ethical revolt and actual embargo that we the library would be forced to enact upon the rest of the regions which belive me you wolud not be able to recover from it.

And just what makes you so sure with your high and mighty wisdom that all the books gave you, huh Lerondiodas, yeah right not able to survive an embargo.You know what I say we do it lets show up the library that we can survive with out any help from you or your cronies.

Now look lets not get too hasty here and fellow committie members remember one thing the library has stood here and defended the planet from more than just a lack of knowledge. Oh and Kelonidesandas if you want to close off your region to others we can't stop you, but know this the path you choose can destroy if you aren't careful and we will not be afraid to facilitate that destruction for you.
