Looking in the Dark {Larry Fic}

Intro {10 years before part 1}

Harry POV
"Come on 'arry! You're running so slow!!" Louis laughed at me as we ran up the hill. "God dammit Lou why do we have to run up this bloody thing anyway?" He stayed silent as I reached the top, "This, I wanted to show you this." He stood there and I walked next to him. A beautiful orange, pink sunset casted over the city of Cheshire. "Wow, it's beautiful.." I was speechless, I've never felt or seen a beauty of something so natural it just amazed me.
"Shit." I turned to Louis when the nasty word came out of his mouth, "It's 8:00 we gotta head home mate." "But I don't want to go yet." I whine. Louis smiled and sat on the green and brown patchy grass and we sat there and stayed till the sun was gone.

"Harold! Where the hell have you been?" Yells my mother as I get through the door. My mum doesn't like me hanging out with Louis that much because, well, my mum and his mum don't like each other very well. I don't know why but sometimes my mums can be bitches, "Ehm, I was at Nialls house doing some uh homework."
"Some homework huh"
"Yes mum some homework"
"Hm that's funny cause I just called Niall to ask if he knew where you were and he said he doesn't know."
Well shit, here comes my mum being so over protective .. I'm 14 for gods sake why does she have to call my friends and ask them where I am, what I'm doing, and who I'm with. I just don't understand and it's so fucking embarrassing. "If I catch you lying to me again you're grounded you hear me?" I roll my eyes and ignore her as I run up the stairs. "Stubborn little arse" I hear her whisper to herself.

I stomp to my room and plop myself on the bed. All I thought about that night was Louis and I sitting and watching the sunset. It's always weird when I'm with him like I always feel something in my stomach and in my chest that I don't feel with anyone else. It can be just me caring a lot about him as a friend I mean I can't like him.. He's a boy.

The next day I met up with Louis on the corner of my street where he always waits for me so we can walk to school together. we talked about how school was such bullshit until there was an awkward silence. "Hey.." I break the weird tension, " So yesterday when we say and watched the sunset together.. Did you feel something?" "You know I always feel something when I'm with you." He giggles.
" What?"
"You're my best friend. I just care a lot about you."
"Oh."
We finally  reach the school and go to our classes. We don't go together because he has first period Drama and I have first period psychology. "Hey Harry." Says my friend Sophia. She was my friend's, Liam, ex girlfriend. She was actually very pretty and had long brown hair. "What's up?" I whisper as the teacher goes on about the subject. She leans towards me, "Guess what?" I hate when she says these yet I still
"What?"
Everytime I do this she's gonna tell me to guess and honestly she's a nice person but it makes me want to punch her in the face. "Guess." I roll my eyes. "Can you just tell me?"
"Ugh ok.. Welllllll this girl I know has a little thing for you." Great. If anything I don't want to be in a relationship with a girl- I mean a relationship.. "Who is it?" I ask
"Serena." (Lmao sorry I like gossip girl it's pretty much serena van der Woodsen it's not gonna be the same last name tho)
"Serena? As in Serena Woods? She fancies me?"
Sophia laughs and tells me all the gossip about this girl (;))Serena wasn't bad herself she was pretty good looking.. But I wouldn't date her.

The bell rang and I made my way to my locker. "Hey there curly!" Greets Louis. We talk during the 15 minute break we had Inbetween classes since that was really the only way we could even talk during school except lunch. "Sophia just told me Serena fancies me." I tell Louis
"Really huh?"
"Yea.. I mean she isn't that bad but I wouldn't date her you know"
"You don't even know her..At least not as much as you know me."
I didn't really understand what he was getting at but as I was about to change the subject the bell rang. The rest of the day filled with boring lectures about things I didn't need in the future. Except a little something happened in Geometry.. I was sitting in my seat 2 seconds away from falling asleep until the person behind me passed me a post it. "Meet me after class? Xx -Serena" I went to her after class and I'm pretty sure you know where this is going.. "Hey.." Serena greeted as she twirled her blonde hair. I gave her an awkward smile and a small wave, "Look Harry, I like you like I really do and I wanted to ask if you know uh maybe you uh want to go out sometime maybe?" I didn't really know what to say because I mean I don't want to date her but I don't want to sound rude. It was so awkward  since we were all alone, talking to her and everything it just, it felt weird and abnormal . "Sure. " I agreed anyway because I didn't want to be an arse and hurt her. I walked to the front of the school where me and Louis always meet but a bit different now since I'm holding some girls hand.

I see Louis, "Lou!" He looks at me shocked and with a weird look "Hm is that a girl you picked up on the way?" I laugh, "No this is my new girlfriend Serena!"
"Hm how great.."
On our walk home, we all walked together and for some weird reason Louis was giving Serena a lot of attitude. "Isn't it nice to date a guy you never even talked to before Serena?"
"Well I mean I knewHarry we just don't really talk.."
"Yeah just like we don't really talk or at least I just don'treallywanttotalktoyou anyways this is my stop.. Bye Harry! Scarlett" I try my best not to laugh. Something I love about Louis is that he does not take shit. oh and also his eyelashes, his eyelashes are great. We walk a block down in silence"Uhm ok well Harry I guess I should go now um.." She leans forwards and placed a soft kiss on my lips for a few seconds. His lips brushing on mine, his small hands placed on my neck. His brown messy hair, his deep blue eyes. His- I pull away from our kiss. I can't do this. Why do I keep denying it? No, I can't like a guy. No Harry you don't like him you just care a lot about him.. "Oh is something wrong" Serena asks
"No nothing is wrong I just I have to go meet up with someone.. Bye Serena.." I wave to her and I walk to Louis' front door.

I knock on his door. The door opens quickly revealing Louis and I push my hands in my pocket and rock back in forth. "Hey mate" I say, " Do you mind going up the hill with me to watch the sunset and maybe we can eat dinner together tonight?"
"Where's your girlfriend?" He asked in a petty way
"Went home.."
"Okay.. WellI'm making chicken stuffed with mozzarella cheese wrapped in Parma ham with a side of home made mash potatoes" he smiles as he does this interesting hand motions and I laugh at him.
"Sounds good!"
Later that night we walked up the hill watched the sunset, we accidentally fell asleep under the stars, too. The comfiness felt like home. Better than home.
