Matt: To be honest... I don't really care. Does that sound too harsh?
Me: Well.. She's your girlfriend, right?
Matt: Yeah... But I don't really like her as more than a friend anymore...
Me: Oh

Inside I was literally screaming for joy, I was so happy that he didn't like her anymore... I sound so mean.
That day, Matt told me that he loved me. I told him I loved him too, because I did (I still do).
