He wakes up in shock, gasping for air as though he was being suffocated.
He couldn't move.
He couldn't breathe.
His body jolts up out of no where, he could breathe again.
He moved his body slightly making sure he had control once again.
He didn't speak still, he had no words to say because he still couldn't process what just happened.
He wiped sweat away from his face, he started calming down.
He looked at the clock that illuminated the room just a bit.
Time for school.
He managed to get up and stand on his feet.
Slowly he took a step forward and immediately fell to his knees.
He started trembling.
He turned his head to look if anyone was behind him.
No one was there.
He felt like he was pushed down to the ground.
It took a while but he got up slowly trying to keep balance.
He stood up and kept getting ready for school.
Now walking to school, tuning out the world with music.
His mind wandered off for a moment and his vision started to change.
He looked around, making sure of his surroundings.
Then he saw it.
A shadow.
More than one actually.
He shook his head and blinked a few times.
They vanished.
He kept walking, trying to focus on his music.
Every time he looked up he saw them again and again.
After a few seconds they'd always vanish.
He finally arrived at school, but nothing changed.
The shadows kept popping up.
Everywhere he looked they were there.
Laughing mischievously.
Mocking him.
The laughing was far away and just faint to hear.
It sent chills down his spine and it gave him goosebumps.
But it started to grow louder and louder.
He tried to block them out by playing his music at the loudest as possible.
He didn't care that he could become deaf.
He just wanted the laughing to go away.
School finally ended and he started walking home.
The laughter was starting to become faint once again.
A sigh of relief escaped his lips.
Then a hand fell on his shoulder.
He froze in his tracks, unable to react.
He was to frightened to even turn around.
But he did.
Big mistake.
Shadows surrounded him.
One behind the other, another after another.
