Tyler woke up to the sound of Josh making coffee in their hotel room the smell of the coffee beans filled the room and put a smile on his face as he got up and walked over to Josh to say good morning "hey Josh" he said immediately regretting his choice of words due to them not being as sweet as he'd hoped "good morning Tyler" Josh said with a smile "how'd you sleep?" He asked cheerfully "good how about you" Tyler asked while staring longingly at his friend you see Tyler has always liked Josh as a friend but lately he's been feeling differently about their "friendship" a part of him wanted to be more than friends while the other part wanted to protect their un wavering friendship "great thanks" Josh replied snapping Tyler back into reality Josh made them both a hot cup of coffee and they sat down at a small table in the corner of the hotel room the hotel was relatively small and the room they were staying in was painted a bland off white almost grey color as they sat on their phones drinking their coffee Josh asked Tyler a burning question he'd been holding on to for quite some time now "hey Tyler?" He asked quietly "yeah Josh?" Tyler replied "do you like me?" Josh finished Tyler looked utterly confused at the question of course he liked Josh they were best friends of course Josh didn't know how much Tyler liked him "of course I like you Josh your my best friend" Tyler replied after a long pause the word "friend" felt like a stab to the chest to Josh Josh looked down at his coffee for a minute and finally said "no I mean do you like me...as more than a friend?" Josh instantly regretted even starting the conversation in the first place Tyler blushed hard feeling the burning flush rise up his neck to his cheeks as he replied in a very small voice "yeah...
