The next day and everyone was awake at five in the morning, they immediately packed up thirty minutes later after eating and headed off to the castle. It was a long day for them, but they had made it to the white marble castle. It seemed bigger than King Shoko's, but the castle was basically like a spiral tower.
Violet stared up at the castle in awe before began and choking when her throat got dry and a fly flew into her mouth. "Agh! Bug! Bug!" She gasped, rubbing her throat and ended up swallowing the fly.
River laughed, "Are you okay?" She asked, wiping a tear from her eye.
Violet huffed and glared at her. "Yes, I am fine. Thank you for asking. Now are we going in or not?"
Zala walked past and gestured for them to follow her. "Yes. Come on. We have to meet the ruler and explain the situation we are in the moment." She said as she watched the tall doors unlock open slowly. She stepped inside and turned towards them, waiting for them.
Violet watched River, Ciel, and Gildar step in as well. She sighed, nervous as she followed them slowly, making sure that she stayed behind and hidden.
On the throne, there sat a tall, fair-skinned elf with white hair and blue eyes. She looked at them with a gentle smile and stood, stepping down the step as she approached, the long and white, flowy dress trailing behind her.
Zala bowed in front of her and looked up at her. "Queen Clarissa." She murmured, gesturing to the others to bow as well.
Violet bowed and scooted a bit to Ciel. She looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "Anything else you lied about to me? Like the king actually being a queen?" She whispered harshly.
Ciel glanced to her and frowned. "Don't look at me, look at Zala. I never seen her before and I thought she was a he. Especially when she sent the letter as a request for being a spy. She didn't put her name on it except knowing it came from the 'ruler'." He whispered
"How do you not see her when you live here?"
"She's a busy women and I'm usually not able to see her at the dining table since I sit where it is crowded and noisey." Ciel whispered.
Violet huffed and made a noise of shock when she was brought up. Her face was turned so she was looking directly at the queen.
"Hm... So you're the human, Violet. I have been hearing about you for the past two weeks. You don't look much like a human though..." Clarissa murmured, tilting her head to the side in confusion.
"Ah, um.... I'm really 'human' anymore, my... queen. My body seemed to have adapted to the lifestyles and the realm. I'm more of an elf now." Violet said, biting her lip and nervous about making a good first impression. It would be bad if the queen thought of her horribly.
"I see... I guess that was to be expected since I was a small elf when the humans first came. I experienced them slowly changing and forming into species. Some were even transforming into a new type of species!" Queen Clarissa chuckled as she let go of her chin. "As you may have heard Zala, I am Queen Clarissa. The elven queen of Majestic. I will show you to your rooms and we shall discuss about the situation over dinner." She explained as she turned and led them up a spiral staircase and to a long, white hallway filled with ebony doors. "Since Zala and River have an extra bunk, you can stay with them, Violet. Ciel and Gildar can stay in their old bunk rooms that are stationed beside the girls'. Have fun and head to the banquet hall for dinner in an hour." The queen started leaving to head down to the banquet hall to check on how the cooks are doing.
Violet watched her go before she turned towards the hallway. She noticed that Zala and River were starting to head to the bunk rooms, Ciel and Gildar heading to theirs as well, and started catching up to them. "I wanted to ask questions to her..." She frowned.
"You can ask her the questions at the dining hall when we explain why we are here." River said, looking over her shoulder in order to look at her.
"Okay..."
"She's a patient and kind queen, so if you have tons of questions, she should tolerate to answer them all. It's to be expected, right?" Said Zala as she opened the door to the bedroom. She stepped in and sighed in relief at finally being back home. The Dark angel sat her bag by the nightstand and laid in the bed, curling up in her blanket, closing her eyes.
Rover had done the same, except she climbed to the top bunk and read a book quietly.
Violet watched them both as she sat on the bed across from them. 'Deja vu. It's like when I first met them.' She thought as she looked at the creme-colored blanket. She ran her hand across the soft fabric and smiled a bit, however, her smile didn't last long as she thought home. 'Home... Where my family and friends are... I hope they're doing okay without. I miss them terribly. Wonder how long it has been since they last seen me ... Who knows; the time difference here and over there would be so different that it could be a year later over there while here it has only been two weeks.' She thought, looking down and trying to hide her tears. She sighed and curled up, figuring she'd take a nap till dinner, in order to clear her mind and calm down. She hated if she was found as weak by the queen.
Violet awaken by someone shaking her. She took a moment to process this but jumped up, fully awake now. "Earthquake!" She shrieked, falling out of the bed and climbing under it. She peeked her head out to see River laughing hysterically. She narrowed her eyes and rolled out, standing with her hands on her hips.
Once River's laughter died down, she grinned. "Sorry. But it's five minutes till dinner. We need to head down to the banquet hall right now so we can get there in time." She said as she grabbed Violet's hand and nearly dragging her down the carpet. "Zala went ahead to grab our seats while I was stuck here to figure out how to wake you up."
Violet huffed, "I still don't appreciate how you shook me that much and made me think there was an earthquake."
"Sorry. I didn't really attempt to make you think that. I just thought it was something to wake you up." River said as she went down to the end up the hallway. She opened up the double doors that led into a long room that had an equally long banquet table filled with people.
Violet let River pull her hands to the seats near Queen Clarissa. She nodded and smiled at Zala, Ciel, and Gildar, her gesture of a hello. She settled in a chair beside River, who sat next to the elven queen.
Queen Clarissa looked from all of them and made sure that everyone was here. She clapped her hands and the servants came out with the plates of food. She slowly ate, taking her time to bring up the topic she said that they were supposed to talk over during dinner.
Zala cleared her throat. "So... The situation?"
The queen looked up from her pasta and finished chewing and swallowing. "Ah. Yes, that...."
"What is the situation and what is the main reason that has made you return to here?"
