Close your eyes, imagine a door, you push it open and it swings outwards.

You walk into a meadow, the grass under your bare feet is soft and covered in cold dew from the night.

The sun is just peeking over the horizon, painting the pale blue-grey sky with faded pinks, oranges and violets.

The warm breeze brings the smell of fresh earth, wild roses, poppies and queen anne’s lace, grass and rain.

You hear crickets chirping and the quiet calls of cardinals, mockingbirds and wrens just waking up.

You follow a small path of beaten earth to a small pond fed by a stream.

The sound of running water is relaxing.

You drink a handful of water from the stream. It’s cold and crisp, running from a spring high up in the mountains.

Robins, sparrows and finches perch in the trees surrounding the meadow, rowans, oaks , willows and pines.

A red tailed hawk sails overhead.

The sun warms your face as you close your eyes.

Commit this place to memory. THis is your secret garden, your safe place
