Riley Ships Markle

Maya's POV

I wake up the next morning to the sound of my alarm. I was a little confused to where I was. I looked around and realized I was still at Farkle's house. I got up and opened the curtains to let some light in and made the bed. I hear the door open and see Farkle come in. I see him laugh at the sight of me making his bed.

"Whats so funny genius?" I ask him. "Nothing," he says with a smirk. "You hungry?" he asks me. "Yeah I could eat," I tell him. "Good cause I made waffles." I look at him smiling but then the smile fades. He got a concerned look on his face. "Everything ok?" he asks me. "Uh yeah. One thing though, why did you let me stay over?" I ask him. "Because your my friend and I care about you and it was almost midnight so I wasn't going to let you walk home on your own." My smile comes back and he noticed because he let out a small laugh. "Now come on waffles  are ready downstairs," he tells me. I head downstairs and the closer I got to the  kitchen,  The stronger the smell of the waffles became. I sat down at the table and Farkel brought our waffles. We ate and laughed. This is the longest I have ever hung out with Farkle alone, I wasn't hating it.

We finished our waffles and I told him I had to leave. He hugged me goodbye and I went out the door. I ran to Riley's house knowing she would start asking me a bunch of questions. I go up the ladder that leads to the bay window. I open the window and find Riley singing a song about brushing her hair. Once she sees me the first thing she does is ask me where I was. "Where were you? You're 20 min late." I look at the time and shes right. It was 8:20 and I usually get to her house at 8:00. "Riley if I tell you aren't going to believe me," I tell her. "Oh come on Maya, just tell me." "Oh fine! I was at Farkle's." She looks at me confused. "Wait why did you go to Farkle's house before mine?" Wait...ARE YOU THROWING ME A SURPRISE PARTY!" I laugh at her theory. "No Riles. Actually, I've been there since last night." It takes her a min to fully sink in what I said. Her eyes grow bigger when she realizes what this means. "What were you two doing last night!" she asks me. "Well after you and the cowboy left we stayed talking and he invited me to see a movie at his house. I feel asleep and I woke up this morning still at his house." I couldn't help but smile the whole time I was talking. "OMG YOU LIKE HIM!" Riley yells "Shhh Riley i don't want anyone to know." I tell her. "Yay team Markle all the way!." she whisper yells. I look at her confused, "Markle?" "Yeah that's your ship name." We  laugh and hug each other. "Wait! Why don't want to tell Farkle?" she asks me. "Riley you saw what happened with Josh, he went running for the hills when I told him. I don't want Farkle to do the same." "But how do you know he will? For all we know he could like you too." I look at her. I see the hope in her eyes. I just don't hope like she does. "Yes Riley but what if he doesn't. That's not a risk I'm willing to take. Now promise me you won't say anything to Farkle or Lucas." "I promise I wont say anything." "Good now I'll meet you gusy at Topangas in an hour, I need to go shower and change." I walk out the window and headed home. I kept thinking about how Riley said that Frakle could like me back, but I knew it couldn't be true. He got over his little crush for us back in eigth grade. The best thing for me to do is just keep my feelings inside for the rest of my life...how hard could that be.
