Brothers Forever

Chapter 12

Donnie walked out of the lab only to be bombarded with questions on how leo and sky were doing, he raised his hand slightly causing silence to fall over the anxious group "They should be fine Leo just woke up and is now resting."

Cheers broke out only to be silenced once more my Splinter "And what of sky my son," five pairs of questioning eyes turn to the purple banded turtle "*sighs* she hasn't woken up yet so I don't know but her vitals are normal so she should wake up soon." Another round of cheers broke out this time they weren't silenced and Donnie has joined in with them.

~time skip~

April and Casey had already gone home and Splinter planned to stay until Leo and Sky woke up....it's been around 5 hours since Leo woke up the first time and about 3 since his second time regaining consciousness.

Sky however still had not woken up and everyone was beginning to worry....Donnie tried to calm everyone's nerves but he still wasn't sure himself. Would she wake up or would eternal sleep clam her?

This question burned into everyone's minds but none of them listened to it because with all they've been through she couldn't die not now!

Leo groaned softly and cracked open his eyes squinting at the new light entering his eyes, he sat up slowly and looked around the lab...Donnie was sitting at his desk oblivious to the world around him and the sounds of Raph and Miley playing video games could be heard from behind the lab door.

Splinter walked into the lab and smiled warmly "I see your awake my son," Leo nodded softly the sound of Splinter's voice caught Donnie's attention and he looked up before making his way over to Leo to check his eldest brother's vitals.

Leo licked his dry lips and spoke in a hoarse voice "H-has Sky woken up yet," Splinter and Donnie looked down slightly answering the blue clad turtle's question with a slow shake of the head. Leonardo lowered his gaze slightly "I see....h-how are her vitals?"

This time Donnie answered aloud "They are fine only pecking for a second....by the way your vitals are normal you should be back on your feet in another day or so."

Leo only nodded of course he was happy to get off his butt and move around but the fact that sky was still in a coma worried him so much he could explode, soon Raphael and Michelangelo walked into the lab greeting Leo and small smiles.

Splinter sighed and placed a hand on Leo's shoulder "Do not worry my son Sky is very strong she will pull through just be patient."

Leo nodded and smiled softly his worry clearing up slightly, the eldest turtle leaned back into his pillows with a sigh. Comfortable silence fell over the Homato family as they just enjoyed each other's presence but that was short lived.

Surprising everyone a small pained gasp came from the cot that was currently occupied by a certain female dragon. Five heads whipped around to look at the cot with wide anticipating eyes....Sky gritted her teeth in pain and shafted slightly which was the most movement she's done since they returned to the lair.

Donnie rushed over to the small screen near her cot and began running through her vitals checking everything from her breathing to her blood cell count, Leo tried to get up but it resulted in him flinching in pain and slowly easing back down onto his pillows.

Raph and Mikey were standing near Leo's cot where splinter walked over to sky, Donnie looked down at her and spoke "Sky? Can you hear me?" Silence fell once more as everyone waited for Sky to do something and after a few minutes she groaned softly and opened her eyes slightly before quickly closing them wincing at the new light entering her crystal eyes.

Sky's POV:

I opened my eyes only to be blinded by a bright light, closing my eyes quickly I can hear the voices of Leo and his brothers along with Splinter, slowly I open my eyes once more letting my eyes adjust to the new found light.

Suddenly I see Donnie hovering over me smiling widely I can see Raph, Mikey, and Splinter standing next to my cot smiling and behind them I can make Leo out on a neighboring cot.

With the help of Donnie and Raph I am propped up with some pillows allowing Donnie to check over my wounds and vitals with ease, I glance over to Leo only to widen my crystal eyes. To my surprise Leo had tears streaming down his cheeks but his smile never faltered.

No POV:

Leo sniffled slightly but kept on smiling, sky asked in a shaky unused voice "L-Leo are y-you alright?"

This question caught the attention of the rest of the Homato clan who soon gasped in shock of the eldest turtles sobbing, the blue clad turtle wiped at his eyes trying to push away the tears but they just kept on coming.

"I-I'm just glad y-your awake sky," Leo choked out. Mikey and Splinter began to comfort the eldest turtle where Donnie continued looking over sky's vitals and Raph just stood off the the side since he's not a emotional kinda turtle.

Once Leo's tears subsided Splinter instructed for his sons to leave the lab after pushing Leo's and sky's cots closer so they can talk....and once that was done the elder rat left the two eldest mutants to themselves.

Sky and Leo looked over each other taking in the others wounds their eyes locking every once in a while, when their examination was over they looked into one another's eyes. Chrystal and sapphire where locked unable to be separated, comfortable silence settled over the two eldest as they looked at each other.

Their eyes doing all the talking for them, slowly they let their hands touch entangling their fingers. They held the others hand like their life depended on it each fearing to let go and lose each other forever, with their cots touching they couch lean on one another which is what they did.

Sky was the first to break the silence, laying her head on the male turtles shoulder she spoke in a soft tone "Leo....don't you think it's finally over?"

Leo rested his head on sky's head "I don't know....we will just have to wait and see....but no matter what happens I'll be by your side sky."

The female dragon looked up at Leo and smiled pulling away she pecked him on the cheek before returning to her previous position with her head in his shoulder and his head on her own.

"No matter what happens I'll be by your side as well Leo."
