Chapter 8

Wednesday, August 20th 8am
Everything went as usual this morning and I was at school at the same time as usual. 1st period I was talking to Anne and Josh "Hey babe, what are you doing tonight?" "Oh umm, band practice and there is no telling how long that'll last." I replied to him "Right, well text me if you get done and want to hang out, maybe we can all have a movie night or something." He suggested cutely "Heck yeah!" Anne grinned excitedly and I couldn't help but laugh "Alright that sounds good, I'll let you know."

Third period went as usual, Calum and Josh teasing me about the teacher, which honestly I don't get . They say she stares at me with a longing look in her eyes but if I look at her She barely glances at me, let alone talk to me. I ignore their comments as usual and text Josh.

Third and fourth came to a quick finish and I walked Josh out of the school. We said our goodbyes and I gave him a quick meaningful kiss before he left. Anne and the boys approached me "We'll wait out here Laur." I nodded my head before running back into the school straight to Ms. Cabello's class. She was wiping off her board when I came in "Ahh Miss Jauregui, I thought you forgot you were supposed to come today." I gave her a small smile "Nope just getting my friends situated." She nodded her head. She handed me a sheet that was based of notes so it was fairly easy. I made sure to write my name on the paper before I even started

"So you play volleyball, what position?" Lauren wasn't expecting for her to talk to her so Camila's question kind of caught her off guard but she answered nonetheless  "Uhh- I play all positions but I do best as an outside or as a back row middle." Camila said nothing for a minute while Lauren turned her attention back to her work and her eyebrows furrowed in concentration, which Camila found immensely cute. "I'm glad to see that you're a dedicated student." "Ahh thanks, I have absolutely no time to slack." Camila couldn't help but be curious as to what she meant "What do you mean?" "Well I play sports all year round, even during the summer. So the slightest bit of slack can throw off my whole schedule, which I don't have time for." Camila couldn't help the small smile that graced her lips "Not to mention you're in a band. 'The Wanting' right?" Her teacher's knowledge of her musical endeavors didn't really take her by surprise especially after what took place in her class just yesterday. "Yeah that too, so you see slacking would only make it harder on me."  "That makes total sense. What sports do you play?" Lauren pretends to zip her lips, and lock them before throwing away the key. She smiled an innocent smile before uttering the words "I'll let you guess, but I'll give you a hint. I play sports four sports and you already know one of them. Anyways I'm done here so, have a good afternoon Ms. Cabello." She smiled the most adorable smile Camila has ever seen before she grabbed her things, handed her work in and walked out the door.

Everybody was at Calum's house setting up their equipment, While Anne went to pick up food for everyone. Josh was at home doing homework and cleaning up. "Oh hey guys I meant to tell Josh and Anne want to have a movie night, if we finish practice in time. Do you guys want to do that? We can do it at my house if you guys want." The boys agreed, they had nothing better to do and they were always down to spend time with their best friends and Josh.

They worked on 'Here' getting everything to perfection and finished with that sooner then they expected to, it was only 5:30. They decided to go ahead and record it and make the Lyric video. They headed over to Lauren's since she was the one with the home studio.

Lauren's POV

I texted Josh while Anne edited the video, and started uploading it.

Hey Baby, we're on for movie night @ my place 🙂

The video uploaded pretty quickly, which made me excited because I couldn't wait for people to hear the finished product. "Hey guys post it on your Twitter and Instagram accounts. Anne can you post it on 'The Wanting' pages please?" She nodded her head in agreement and I had a smile plastered on my face as I went to my Twitter and posted it.

I posted a snippet of it on my Instagram with the same caption. We sat around talking waiting for Josh to show up.

Camila had just gotten out of the shower and was getting ready to make herself dinner when her phone buzzed with a notifications.

Twitter: @LaurenJauregui posted a new tweet!

Youtube: The wanting just uploaded a new video to their channel, watch it now!

Camila quickly looked at the Twitter post, then went straight to the video on YouTube and listened to it, she recognized it as the song Lauren had sang in her class the other day. She was really impressed with their work and had become a fan of it as well.
