After Ed and Al got their bodies back, they waited to tell Winry. They wanted to surprise her, after all, she was the one who did their automail.
On the train ride back to Resembool, Ed called Winry telling her he needed some repairs done on his right arm. Winry, who loves Ed and Al, (Ed in a different way) couldnt wait to see them.
As they showed up, Winry was already waiting outside for them. The second she sees Al in his original body and Ed with his arm and leg, she started to cry.
"What did i tell you Winry? The next time we make you cry, would be tears of happiness."
She slowly walks towards them, as if thinking if she stepped wrong she would realize this is a dream.
When she got to them, she hugged them both, slowly sitting down to the ground and crying.
Later that day Ed comes over to Winry when they're alone. "So , um, Winry, would you like to, you know, go out some time? You know, together? Just us two?"
As Ed said that, a big smile came across her face. "I'd love to!" she shouts.
As Winry is waiting at the location they decided on, she realized Ed was running late. After waiting for 2 hours, and still no sign from him, she starts to cry and go home.
Later that night she gets a call from the hospital. "Hello, is this Winry Rockbell? Edward Elric has gotten into an accident. We need you to come down immediately."
As she bursts through the hospital door, she sees Ed, laying on the hospital bed without his left arm.
As she looks at him, she begins to cry." Im so sorry! If only i didnt agree to that date!" She began to bawl. "Come on Winry. What are you crying for? Isnt it better this way? After All, i am your most paying customer."
Her tears begin to stop."Come on Ed, lets go get you a new arm."
