There's always something behind a closed door. It could be a room with furniture, a family, even a different world. But you never know what is behind one of these doors until you open them. It was another crummy day at Fort Ridge High. It was raining on and off all day, and kids were un-sociable. Everyone seemed quiet. I assumed it was from the disaster that happened a couple weeks ago. Idon't like to talk about it, but my best friend Zoe had died in a car crash. Iv known her practically my whole life. We always had each others backs, and whenever one of us was going through a tough time we would always be there for each other. I still remember the memories we had like they were yesterday. Like going to our first dance, and sticking by her side when her boyfriend broke up with her. She was basically my sister!
When Zoe had gotten in a crash I had got a call from Zoe's dad. He had told me to rush over to the hospital immediately, and automatically I started to freak out. When I had gotten to the hospital I saw her dad in the hall way pacing back and forth. I asked him what was going on, and he whispered in my ear "Zoe had gotten in a car accident." As he told me a tear ran down his face, and before I could even process what was going on I found myself crying. Scared and worried I asked him who was in the car, he had told me Zoe and her mom Kristen. Soon after he told me, the doctor walked out, and took Zoe's dad off to the side. The whole time i remember watching curiously, and as the doctor walked back he left Zoe's dad behind. As I watched him sit down on the bench looking down at his feet, i slowly waked towards him and sat down besides him... I told the interviewer. "What did you say to him next?" the interviewer asked as she pointed a tape recorder in my face; I felt my eyes get watery. I had asked him what the doctor had told him. He told me that Kristen and Zoe had both passed away. "I'm so sorry for your lose, may I ask for your name one more time?" the interview rapidly asked me. " My name is Rachel Andrews" I had replied. As the camera man shut the camera off, and the interviewer for our local news stopped recording, I quickly hopped up and sprinted to the bathroom. I ran into the one of the vacant stalls and threw up.
