The next few weeks go on without a hitch, Dr. Reda suggests Amoura work from home more, so she listens and has some of her work things moved into the study, "here are the last of the reports Commander," Ami hands Amoura a vanilla folder, "that's all for today, Ami. Go home and get some rest, we're going to need your organizing skills for the War Games this weekend." Ami nods and walks out of the house.
Her computer rings as Clive walks in to hand her an ice cream sandwich, "please limit your snacks Amoura, dinner is almost ready," Amoura just smiles at him as she answers the face time call. "Yes. Yes." Clive gives her a look which causes Amoura to laugh, "I'm going to take the drawer key from you if you keep it up Amoura."
"Go ahead, there's no food left." Clive stops and walks back in, "I just bought you snacks yesterday." She gives him a look, "I was hungry!"
"You wouldn't be if you ate more real food meals." She smiles at him, "I would but I don't know how to cook." Clive glares at her, "I'll make you food and freeze it for you." She huffs as she looks away.
Amoura peels off the wrapping around the ice cream sandwich, as Eliza chuckles at their bickering. "Any more nausea?" Amoura looks at the screen, "no, I've been able to eat and drink things normally. Except for milk, I cannot stand the scent of milk. Clive's been buying Almond milk, I use to hate the taste but know it's the only kind of milk that doesn't make me want to hurl."
"I had the same problem with cheese, I couldn't stand the smell, the only cheese I could eat was the cheese for chips. I was constantly making a dish called Pancho's for I became obsessed with it after your father took me to a Mexican Restaurant. El Toro, the place was called."
Amoura licks off the ice cream from the sides before biting into it. "Oh, I do the same thing. Your father thought it was weird." Amoura smiles, "my mom never understood why I did it. My father found it amusing saying it was just something else that made me, me." Eliza smiles as someone clears their throat on her side of the conversation.
"Well Amoura speaking of your father, I was finally able to get in contact with him so he's here and he wants to meet you." Amoura looks away from her work and to Eliza, "I've told him a few things about you. Where you work, what you do. That you're married and that you have a good relationship with your parents and siblings." Eliza smiles as she looks over the computer to look at Lawrence.
"Amoura this is your birth father Lawrence," a tall man with dark blonde hair and honey brown eyes walks into view. He smiles when he sees Amoura. "You look like your mother." Amoura smiles unsure what to say to him. It's one thing bonding with a parent who knows what you're going through its another to bond with a person who's just a stranger and has no connection to you aside from blood.
"I have your facial features, the small round eyes, the full lashes, the button nose and the full lips." He smiles at Amoura, "you're the perfect mix of us alright. So how you been? How was your childhood? When did your health improve? Did it happen on its own or-" Eliza cuts him off, "Lawrence!"
Amoura smiles, "Its fine-" Amoura hisses as she touches her small belly. "Amoura?" Amoura bends over as the pain worsens, "Clive!" Amoura shouts for her husband as she watches the blood stain her pant. "Amoura whats wrong?" Amoura looks up, "I'm bleeding."
"Oh, my!" Clive rushes in, "Amoura! I'll call Dr. Reda when we arrive." Eliza picks up the phone, "you just take her the emergency room Clive, I'll call her!" Clive thanks her as she picks up Amoura and flashes out of the house.
Dr. Reda arrives minutes later and rushes to get Amoura out, "you had a tear in the placenta, you've healed already but I want to keep you here for a few days. You need to stay put for a while. I'm tempted to put you on bed rest Amoura."
