“This is the best Christmas day ever! Thanks dad!”
“Anything for my beautiful princess.”
We laughed and went to the parking area when---
Beep…Beep…Beep
“Dad watch out!” I shouted but its too late, my father was hit by a car in front of me.
“Aaahhh…” I screamed thinking it was just a dream but when I turned around, I saw a coffin, laying inside was my father--- lifeless. Gosh I’m sure its wasn’t a dream. It’s a nightmare.
“Are you okay sweetie?” My grandma asked looking worried.
“Yes, I just had a bad dream.” I replied sobbing.
“There, there, I know its hard to lose both your parents in a year gap but I’m here, were here for you.” Grandma said, her voice sounding like she was hurt then hugged me for comfort.
The day came when my father will be put on his grave, it was a beautiful day. I was hoping that the heavens would cooperate with my sorrows and that it would rain hard but it was like rejoicing. That’s when my tears started to pour. My grandma and grandpa went beside me and said that it would be okay.
Almost a year had passed but I hadn’t moved on from my father’s death ‘cause I’m a daddy’s girl. Its Isabella Tigger by the way and now a senior at Zeus International High School. It sounds like a school for god and goddesses and I’m like the only mere mortal who dared to study on that school.
I was walking by the street as the cold breeze of early Christmas blows that give chills all over my body. It remembered me of my father who died o the night of Christmas eve.
I’m now heading to my sanctuary that was a café far from the city that has good coffee, food, service, free WiFi, with aircon and heater, depends on the season, and few customers so you can have a peace of mind. What more can you ask for? Its like heaven.
I entered the café and went to my favorite spot at the corner were nobody could see me. I sat and ordered. I waited for my order to come. I noticed a guy looking at me who’s actually the same age as me. He’s also looking to!
We stared at each other like a minute or two then he smirked. I removed my eye contact to him thinking he’s not usually in this café ‘cause I’m a regular customer here and I’d never seen him here before.
“Here you go ma’am! A chocolate cake and a coffee with two tea spoon of sugar. Is there anything more you want to add?” The waitress said.
“No thank you.” I replied and started eating and when I was done, I stood up and walk my way to the exit.
“Ma’am wait!” The waitress said while running towards me. “ You left your take out order.”
“Wait, I didn’t order anything!” I replied.
“Your guy friend paid it for you. He’s over there at the—” The waitress stopped and looked around finding someone.
“M-ma’am sorry but he’s gone and please take it, its already paid and I think he left a note for you.” She said.
“Thank you.” I grabbed his I mean my order then looked at it. It was a float and I saw the letter. It say hello with a smiley face.
The next day I was at the café again doing my project and homework when the waitress went on my table and put a cupcake and an orange juice. I looked at her with confused eyes. “I didn’t order anything yet.” I said.
“Someone ordered for you and left a note again.” She replied with a weird looking smile.
“Who ordered this?” I ask.
