Riley's POV
"Honey can you come here for a second?" I heard my mom yell. I was sitting on my bed doing my homework. I was really annoyed from all this homework. I just wanted it to end so I can enjoy my time from actually being away from school.

When I got up and went to see what my mother wanted I looked back at my homework and it was gone. I furrowed my eyebrows I looked around but I didn't see it anywhere.

"Riley!" My mom yelled. I rushed over to her and she was standing there with my dad and they were holding a letter. It look like a fainted white with a red sticker holding it closed.

"Yes mom?" She handed me the letter and gestured me to open it.

I was really confused. I never get mail directly for me. And this seemed kind of off.

Dear Riley Matthews,
You have been accepted into the Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. In this school you will learn to control and perfect how to use your magic. Please on the 23 of August go to London Kings Cross train station and enter the wall 9 3/4. To get your school stuff please look at the list on the other side of this parchment. We are informing you with every details since you are a mudblood but here at Hogwarts we accept everyone no matter what family you come from. ...

"This is a joke right?" I asked breathless. I felt like this is a joke but something was telling me I'm wrong.

"Sweetie. We were told when you were born that you would be special one day. And you would make weird things happen all the time so it only made sense what it meant." My dad explained.

"What? Why didn't you guys– Who said that?" I blabbed. This was so weird. I do make things happen all the time. I can move things without touching them. I always thought this was normal. Maya said it was normal. So did Lucas. And Maya always said she understands snakes but I think she said that to make me feel better. Farkle never said anything. Whenever I asked he would change the subject so I ended up never asking him anymore. They aren't going to believe this.

And Zay and Smackle always called us delusional. Me mostly.

"Your doctor. We never thought anything of it and when we noticed you doing weird things all the time we decided to contact the doctor who helped me birth you." My mom carried on.

"And?" I said waiting for her to finish. I was  impatient. This was a lot to take in. I'm a witch? This is too much.

"When we looked him up there was no record of him. His name didn't show up anywhere. We looked into the hospital you were born at and they said there has never been a doctor by that name. So we gave up." Said my father. I sat down and stared at the ground. I needed a moment.

What will I tell my friends? Will they think I'm crazy?

Maya's POV
"Mom did my letter come yet?" I asked impatiently. I couldn't help it. I've been waiting for it all week. Or since I turned 14 but this was the week Hogwarts sent them out.

Riley doesn't know this but I always knew she's a witch. When she first told me about her making weird things happen I had a hunch. I just was too lazy to investigate. And I bet she got her letter and she's freaking out.

The worst part is that I'm a pureblood and she's a mudblood. Her being a mudblood is not bad it's the fact I don't want her to think I'm superior.

And then there Lucas and Farkle. They are also purebloods. We never told Riley and who knows what we were going to tell her we had to go to a school for magic. But we were relieved when she told us about weird stuff happening. Maybe there was a reason we were all friends. Life does know what it's doing sometimes. I learned that from Cory. I will never admit it but I love when he teaches me about life. It feels like someone cares enough to do that for me.

And then there's Zay and Smackle. They aren't wizards and who knows what we will tell them when we leave but we are going to have to tell them somehow.

"Check the mail sweetie." My mom said. I moved toward the pile of mail and my mom began talking again. "If you want, when we go shopping in Diagon Alley we can take your friends. Cory and Topanga are definitely going to want to come. They've always wanted to know since I told them about it."

"Yea mom that's great." My eyes widened when I saw it. It was so perfect. The letter was here. I jumped up and hugged my mom. She was excited too. She squeezed me hard.

I let go and ripped it open.

Dear Maya Hart, ...

This is great. I'm too excited. I might not be going with Zay or Smackle but my other friends are going and I'll take what I can get.

But I remembered something. Something that scares me. "Mom?" I said slowly.

She looked confused. Probably because I went from celebrating to completely scared looking. "Yes? What's wrong?" She asked.

"What if I get put in Slytherin like our ancestors. Just because you were put in Ravenclaw doesn't mean I will." I said warily.

"Maya promise me that you will be proud of whatever house you get put in. Yes. You can speak parseltounge, but so did Harry Potter." She said reassuringly. Harry Potter was the boy who lived. He was a legend. He beat the darkest wizard of all time like five times I think. And he had help from two other friends. Something like that. I'm not sure my mom said they will teach us all about it at school.

"Thanks mom." I hugged her and we stayed like that for awhile.

Until my phone buzzed. I saw a text notification from Riley.

^Honey bunches of oats^
Tell Lucas and Farkle to meet me at the Topangas. You too. I need to tell you guys something huge.

AN/: I wanted to do a point of view for Lucas and Farkle but I think I have put enough for the prologue. I hope gmw/Harry potter fans love what I want to do with this story. I'm sort of winging it because I'm not sure what I want exactly to happen but here we go because I have a few ideas
