Today is the first day at training for a young man looking to become a knight. In all his years he's stuck to his family tradition of becoming a knight. The males in his family became knights to serve under the king while the women all became clerics to help aid the wounded due to the fact that they have so much more magical energy where men have increased physical energy. Gui (sounds like Guy) was the next in line in the family.

'Wowie...' Gui thought to himself as he stands in the front row of all the other trainees who have worked their way to be knighted today. 'A lot of us sure have pulled through to be here today...' His eyes wander in front to where the higher ranking officials stood. First there was Lieutenant Derin from the fourth brigade. Second there was Sergeant Peter from the third brigade. Lastly there was Captain Lia from the first brigade. This caught Gui way off guard. Not once has he ever seen a woman within the forces ever unless if she was there on royal business. However, he has heard of her. Gui learned from the men he trained with that she came from the very first brigade of the Kingdom of Gallia. She looked so young to be from the first brigade though, however Gui knew perfectly why. He learned she was placed there early as a toddler to learn the ways of a knight. To be trained in to an ultimate fighting machine of which she is now today.

A loud clopping sound is heard as a man rides to behind the higher ranks on horseback. Of course it was Prince Gallia the Second. "Hear me trainees!" His voice echoed among myself and others. "In a moment you will be assigned to each of these higher ranked personnel. Where you will work under them and aid in whatever job they're assigned to. Lieutenant has the task of patrolling the town to see for anything out of the ordinary. Sergeant has the task of protecting the walls of the Kingdom. The Captain here has a special job though. She selects three of you to take under her wing!"

The Prince continued, "she'll specially train you to see if you're fit to become the lead of your brigade! The fifth brigade of where you reside from now. Lastly those left with me are those with ranks just under those worthy of the Captain to help guard the Castle and the royal bloodline such as myself and my father. That is all... Lia, you may choose yours now."

'Oh great.' Gui continued to think to himself. 'I was one of the lowest ranking in the whole brigade... I was even lucky to become a knight. Oh well... I guess I'm stuck with guard duty.'

Gui snapped himself to reality as he watched the Captain choose her first two. The two were by far the strongest two out of all of them. What surprised Gui was that she completely passed by the third strongest and went straight across the first row. Only to stop right in front of Gui.

"You." Was all the Captain said.

"Who? Me?" Gui responded sheepishly. "Are you sure there-"

Captain Lia cut him off before had finished. "I said you. Get up there."

Gui was still thoroughly shocked but he did as commanded and stood next to the two strongest. The two snickered at him and looked away, obviously amused at how the Captain chose someone as short as Gui. Who was a foot under in height than both of them.

Captain Lia walked past the three and said silently as she walked by, "come." Of course the three listened but the two larger men made sure to block off little Gui from walking ahead of them.

'Oh lovely... not only is it that the Captain chose me out of all people to train but alongside the most idiotic of us all. Lovely.' Gui thought to himself as the three set off to the castle's gates.
