Do you ever wonder, what it would be like to live a normal life? I never used to have to wonder. I had a beautiful wife and kid. We were a normal and typical Canadian family. Until one day it all changed....

"Honey! I'm home!" I yell into my house like the cheesy guys in the commercials.
"In the Kitchen!" she yells back laughing. I take off my shoes and coat and walk into the kitchen to find my wife Jocelyn standing at the stove in her apron stirring a magical smelling pot. I know that if shes in her apron, she means business. She's head chef at 4 restaurants in the city. So her cooking is pretty much perfect to me.
"What's for dinner?" I ask trying to steal the spoon from her smoothly. She smiles and slaps my hand away.
"Pasta, with my famous red sauce, and a side of seasoned vegetables just the way you like them. Oh, and garlic bread."
"You know me to well" I chuckle
"Daddy!" I spin around in time to catch my 3 year old son John as he runs towards me.
"Hey! How's my little guy?" He then proceeds to tell me about his day and proudly states that he ate a whole cheese string by him self.

That night, Jocelyn and I were laying in bed talking.
"John mentioned that thing again. I'm really starting to get worried. The story and details never change, they only get more detailed and creepy. He said last night it actually touched him." She tells me, sounding concerned.
I think for a second and then an idea pops into my head. "I'll set up a cam-corder in his room tomorrow to see what's actually going on."
"Okay thank you" she breaths out and then closes her eyes.
"Good night. I love you. Everything is gonna be alright." I whisper as i kiss her head and fall asleep.
But boy was I wrong.
