Complications||dabble
Slipping the bobby pin into her locks, she checked herself out for the nth time in the past hour. Her strawberry blonde tendrils were pinned back, braided at the temples. She had a thin layer of make-up applied over her face, as she only did it to enhance her features. Lydia wasn’t one who over-did the whole makeup thing when it came to dates, she already knew she was perfect (well, decent to say the least) just the way she was.
Though Isaac and Lydia had been dating secretly for the past few months, after much convincing, it was going to be the first time Isaac was going to take Lydia out on a date. He’d been trying to get her to go for a few weeks but she’d always been afraid someone would see them. Turning on her heel, she made her way over to her walk in closet to decide what to wear for tonight.
Going through roughly ten dresses, the beige laced one caught her eye. She grinned to herself while pulling it off the hanger it hung off from. It didn’t take long for her to change into it, the dress clinging to her curves before it flared out by her hips. Hearing her phone vibrate on her desk, she sauntered over to it, her eyebrow quirking slightly when she saw the caller I.D.

Though it was Isaac who asked Lydia to go out on the date, he couldn’t ignore the bundle of nerves twisting in the pit of his stomach. They had been dating, yes. But that was inclusive, which meant they usually spent time together at each others’ houses- cuddling, watching movies, fooling around, etc. This was going to be their first date and it had to be perfect.
Lydia’s past boyfriend was Jackson, who had much more to offer when it came to wealth. But that’s not what he wanted to think about before their night out. He just hoped she wanted this as much as he did. Shaking the thoughts off, he felt his vibrate in his pocket. Pulling it out, he picked it up after seeing it was Allison calling.
"Hey, what’s up?" His eyebrows furrowed together in worry when he heard a sob escape her lips. Allison didn’t cry often, so it was more than surprising to hear her now. "Woah, woah. What’s wrong? Are you okay?"
Sniffling, she shook her head, as if he could see her. “S-Scott… We got into a really big fight.. He won’t answer my calls.”
Isaac sighed inwardly, pursing his lips. “Listen, I’m sure, when he calms down, he’ll talk to you.”
"I-I just need someone right now. I was gonna call Lydia, but she has a date tonight. I didn’t know who else to call- Please Isaac, I need someone right now." Allison shook her head, tears forming in her eyes once again.
The blonde ran his fingers through his hair, his teeth grazing his lower lip. Allison was a close friend of him and he couldn’t see her get upset like this. But he couldn’t cancel on Lydia, this could ruin something that holds extreme potential. Hearing another sob escape the girl’s lips, he closed his eyes tightly. “Where are you right now?”
"I’m at that park across the ice-scream parlor downtown," She told him, sniffling.
"I’ll be there in five," He assured her, before hanging up. Isaac decided he was going to console Allison for as long as he could until it was time for his date with Lydia. He just hoped this plan would work. Clad in a blue and black striped sweater and dark jeans, he slipped on his coat. He grabbed his keys and made his way out to the car.

"Stiles? What do you need?" Lydia asked as soon as she picked up, she didn’t really have time to waste right now.
"Woah, what’s the rush? I’m actually outside your house right now. I lent you the pair of handcuffs the other day and now my dad’s flipping out, he’s looking everywhere for them. So yeah, I need em’."
